The cabinet has been used as a liquor cabinet and fits perfectly in its location. The base color (cream) works in the room but I can't get past those tole painted flowers. It is in the living room and the colors are off white and aqua. Should I paint it? Color suggestion? A: Love it as is,,,put some beautiful decorative pieces on the top that accent the colour in it and enjoy the opportunity to tell the story of its history... and when you have guests you can chat with them about what the would do to it.... don't paint it so that it looks like any other furniture piece...every space has to have something that is different, fun, unique etc **Q: Need cabinet/counter/island design help** *(in Design Dilemma)* I'm going for a fairly modern/minimal look and am considering monotone solid surface counter tops. Which of these color schemes (or others), do you like best? I tend towards the inverted gray/white scheme, but I'm afraid it could hurt resale, b/c it really limits future design options? Any other thoughts on solid surface vs. stone are appreciated. A: The dark grey lowers looked good. I can not see the floor plan. Are you limited because of wiring to the fridge placement. Do you have to have the island . It looks lil when yo open the fridge door you are very close to the island.
