I beg you not to go through Home Depot, bc this company is who you will receive. Go to their fb page and look at the reviews! **★ — HU-716019324, Oct. 2020** > NEGLIGENT, IRRESPONSIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL! > Stone Interiors damaged our garage door while the workers were downloading one of the larger countertop pieces off their truck hitting our garage door and leaving a dent. They REFUSE TO REPAIR DAMAGE DONE BY THEIR CARELESSNESS. They asked for someone to come and give us an estimate on the repair ( which we provided). The cost of a replacement was $1468.88. Despite my attempts to talk to the owner Duane Naquin, and leaving several messages (both via email and phone) with Katrina and Dale Jones and sending emails asking for them to simply fix the damage at their cost, he never responded. > Dale stated in an email sent to us on Sept. 24th "After speaking with management, Stone Interiors does not feel as if we are responsible for the damage that occurred to your garage door. We are willing to contribute to the repair or replacement of the door. Stone Interiors will contribute $250.00 towards the repair or replacement of the garage door." > We asked them not to send the money since they still made us responsible for the remainder of the cost to get it fixed; instead we offered them to send someone who can fix the dent for the $250 (or less). We explained that we will be satisfied with that as long as the door looks like it did before their workers damaged it. Went through home depot for my kitchen countertops with was actually a smooth process. During installation the techs got adhesive all over my brand new dishwasher. The adhesive ripped off all the stainless. Techs admitted it was their fault and management would pay. After 3 months of back and forth the owner said I was lying and would not pay. Cost me $600 dollars out of pocket to fix. They been back several times to make chip repairs. This week (2/2018) I had them come out because we thought we had another chip. They came and told us this was normal for this counter top. They were here less than 10 minutes and they want to charge us $100. I am considering Crema Bordeaux granite for the countertops, the floor tile by interceramic Scenic Coastal White laid in a herringbone pattern. And the cabinets will be Timberlake New Haven in Maple wood in Mocha Glaze.(shaker style) with brush nickel handles. What do you think about the granite color? Our only advise would be to make sure you talk with you countertop fabricator about seam placement. Looking at your drawing it seems you have a nice long run at the cooktop that might exceed the length of the slab. Make sure they discuss with you if there will be a color variation at the seam if one is needed. Looking forward to photos of the final product! **Q: Breakfast bar overhang, what is standard depth?** *(in Design Dilemma)* My breakfast bar overhang is 15 inches. Originally the cabinet guy designed it for 27 inches and I feel like its too deep for just a bar what do u all think? My husband think I should just go with 27 inches and he thinks I'm going to regret my decision later as its not deep enough. I decided to make the corners squared. A: Leahladd-I would get more clarification from your cabinet fabricator on this overhang. The overhang will depend on the degree of the arch you want to achieve with consideration of the number of seating you are trying to gain at bar top.
