We enjoyed the process and were involved in all decision making. we felt like a part of a team and had the ability to be involved every step of the way knowing where our budget was being spent. we now enjoy the finish product and thank Warren and his team for creating and caring.

> I have had the pleasure of hanging out in 2 of the homes built by Imbuia Construction. I LOVE everything about them both! The curb appeal on both were so beautiful. The flow of the layout feels so natural. The state of the are construction is STUNNING both inside and outside of both homes. Walking into an Imbuia Construction Home, FEELS LIKE HOME!

> I'm a residential real estate developer who has worked with Warren & Imbuia for 18+ years. He is an extremely talented designer who knows materials & finishes inside & out with the resources to find and negotiate the best deals on whatever off-the-shelf or custom materials the client desires from any source on the planet. He's an efficient, very reliable builder-- I'm always impressed by how quickly his projects move forward. If it's an Imbuia house you'll get his personal attention 24/7 and the best bang for your buck. HE'S ALSO A GREAT GUY!

**★★★★★ — Alice Hawari, July 2020**

> There are many great qualifications that Warren and team will bring to your projects.
>
> Warren has a wide network of subcontractors, many of whom genuinely respect and like working with him. You'll soon realize that so much of building progress hinges on good relationships. 90% of the subcontractors that ended up on our project were great, trustworthy people with great execution, you name it: framing, sheet metal, glass, cabinetry - stand-up people. There were a couple subs that we would not recommend like our plumbers and our initial foundation guy. But Warren worked with us to get the less-than-ideal sub off of our project, as well as push other subs to perform. Also, Warren has a great eye for detail and a high level of taste for the quality of work that is produced. You will not get shoddy work. And this was essential since this was our home, not a flip. Lastly, Warren is a very kind and honest person. I mean, when was the last time you heard someone say that about their GC?

**★★★★★ — AAHA Studio, June 2020**

> We worked with Imbuia Constrcution on a new, Modern style, Ground-up residence in Culver City for which we were the Architect. The scope of work was very specific and Warren and his team always asked the right questions and made sure that everything was built per the drawings and design direction. We have worked with a number of contractors and they really went above and beyond. They were not only very cordial, friendly and easy to work with, they were always there with a discerning eye and attention to detail. We whole heartedly recommend the team at Imbuia Constrcution for any building project and we are excited to continue to work with them on future projects.

**★★★★★ — Craig Kaufman, June 2020**

> Warren of Imbuia Construction was hired to help design and complete a major remodeling of a mid-1960's condo in one of the tall "Wilshire Corridor" buildings. He did an excellent job for this difficult project due to the age of the building, lack of drywall, up to date electrical wiring, time constraints, etc. He was responsive, his pricing was fair and he was easy to work with since we had to make a number of changes and adjustments along the way. I highly recommend Imbuia Construction.

**★★★★★ — LARRY GILLIS, June 2020**

> Warren performed a Seismic Retrofit project for me. He and his crew are methodical, reliable, communicative and honest. Warren supervised every facet of the job which required multiple stages and the work turned out to be amazing

**★★★★★ — MGS Architecture, Aug. 2018**

> Warren Bregman who is the owner of Imbuia Construction Inc. stood behind his work.Warren was the General Contractor for several of our projects. When a subcontractor did not execute the specified details properly Warren facilitated the replacement and repairs. The commitment to quality and following through with it is what we, the architects are always looking for in the contractor.
> We recommend Warren and his team to anyone who is looking for a GC who stands behind his work!

**Comment from Imbuia Construction Inc.:**

> Thank you very much Magdalena, we look very forward to our ongoing relationship and look forward to building more with MGS Architecture. Your attention to detail is immaculate.

**★★★★ — Amber Bauermeister, Aug. 2018**

> We worked with Warren of Imbuia Construction Inc for both a small upgrade and then a major remodel a few years later. Warren was very accessible, and willing to work with us on cost and letting us do the finishes where we wanted to, which we really appreciated. His main crew were all really professional and friendly, and we were always very comfortable having them around the house. Over a year after completion of the major remodel, we found an issue with the work of one of the subcontractors, and Warren was really excellent about contacting the subcontractor and coming back and getting everything repaired in a timely manner.

**Comment from Imbuia Construction Inc.:**

> Thank you for the review, we hope that you enjoy your new space.

**★★★★★ — l2u2, March 2018**

> Mr. Warren Bregman of Imbuia Construction, Inc. built a new bathroom (large shower, toilet, freeststanding tub, niches), bathroom foyer (long double sink vanity, cabinet) and walk-in closet out of existing space, about 40' x 11'. An adjoining study, adjoining master bedroom and downstairs dining room became heavily involved because of necessary remediation of foundation, beams, joists and insulation. New hardwood floors were laid to match floors originally laid in 1940's. New double-paned windows were installed to match existing windows.
> To minimize disturbance to my resident 97 year old mother, Warren devised a way for his crews and materials to enter and leave the house from the side yard and the second-storey windows via scaffolding with stairs. The doorways leading from the construction area to the rest of the house were sealed off. During the seven-month project, we were comfortably and safely insulated from the traffic, noise and dust.
> Warren wasted no time and worked diligently to coordinate stages of the work as seamlessly and expeditiously as possible. We did not ever have to be concerned if progress was being made or not.
> When a problem arose, Warren was thoughtful and creative about finding a solution. He did not hesitate in consulting the architect, the engineer, the suppliers or sub-contractors for the best answers. He was quick to respond to our questions and concerns. He did what he said he would, always pleasant, always positive.
> Warren came to the site almost everyday. He treated his crews well and with respect. They reciprocated with respect and excellent workmanship.

**★★★★★ — Jason Seldon, April 2016**

> Warren and Imbuia did a fantastic job building our home. Warren is professional, responsible, responsive, honest and meticulous. He truly cares about the quality of his work, and it shows in the end results.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the sofa! Oh please provide manufacturer!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Lovely renovation! I love the sofa-it is just what I’ve been searching for. I would be so grateful if you could share purchasing information. Thank you!!!

A: Hi
The new owners bought the furniture sorry don’t know brand but will try find out

**Q: we have a two unit condo that connects, we would like to be able to** *(in Photo Questions)*

Any suggestions .

A: Hi,
We missed the last part of the question.

**Q: Stucco system** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello

I was wondering if you can help us -- what stucco system did you use to get that "concrete" mottled look on this house? I really love the texture, sheen and color.

We are trying to get the same effect but so far, I've been disappointed with the sample boards my stucco guy has given us. He claims he can't get the BASF Synergy to produce this result as they are all acrylic based.... He wants to switch to Master Wall instead.

Any tips you can give us would be much appreciated! Thank you!

A: Hi and thanks for reaching out.
A smooth stucco finish is what will get you the mottled look.
We also use a Base-x material with polybond as an underlayment over the scratch and the brown. This stops the smooth for cracking substantially.
On this project we used a light grey tone.

**Q: Seats!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love those swing seats. Where can I get them?

A: Must have anchored into block system behind correct?

**Q: Hello, what's the wood type that was used for this gate** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello, what's the wood type that was used for this gate

A: Ipe or Mangeris.
