I have a before and after pic (my before was when I was deciding on a door color hence the drawn on red door) and the after is rocks+ yucca plants which didn't really work. I was thinking of black/grey square planters at the entrance and potentially trees in planters between each front window as I'm not sure it would be wise to plant trees a few feet from the house? I'm obviously clueless...any advice appreciated. A: Great house, but a little too much stone, cinder block and rock. I would soften the look of the property by removing the gravel parking lot and replacing with grass and a curved drive. Paint the cinder block a warm neutral taupe. Clear the stone out of the beds and replace with a compact low maintenance shrub such as Helleri Holly, bright annuals and wood mulch. Add a fountain for interest, movement and sound.
