Wall decor? Or should I try something altogether different in this area?? TIA A: Hello! Yes an awkward spot and that table isn't quite cutting it. Putting artwork there would also be in conflict with what's above the mantel. May I suggest a rectangular mirror? Something that sits above the outlets, no wider than 24" and no higher than the top of the painting above the mantel? It would also make that room feel bigger. Good luck! **Q: Landscaping difficulty** *(in Design Dilemma)* We have in floor heat so the perimeter of our home has sheet insulation underground about 18 inches out to about 4 feet. Can't get grass to grow in some of these areas. We'd like to plant some border perennials. Any ideas? A: Hi Jan, I would suggest a clean border of crushed rock around the edging of the house. Or build a small bed out of pressure treated 4x6 and fill it with low maintenance plants.
