> I am an out of town owner of a historic home in downtown Charleston. I hired Brothers Builders and Restoration to paint my home. Brothers Builders and Restoration subcontracted the job to unlicensed painters pocketing the difference. I paid $48,000 to Brothers Builders and Restoration and the illegal painters they hired painted over dead paint. No prep work whatsoever. Instead of scraping and sanding the old paint they painted primer over the old paint. Please see photos.

> We called Chris Powers at Brothers Builders and Renovation when we had an unplanned emergency.   Our master bathroom shower was leaking from the shower pan and onto the kitchen (below).   This was a periodic leak which progressively got worse and knew it needed to be fixed.  Chris came out right away and he and Troy assessed the problem and was able to start on the job right away. From removing a portion of the kitchen ceiling to having to remove all of the shower walls and floor and toilet,  Chris and Trey were “spot on” with the problem.   They were friendly, efficient, fair and tidy throughout the process.  They were able to finish the project one day sooner than expected! J   Chris is a strong Christian and very dedicated to his church and family.   No one ever wants to have an unplanned renovation in their home, but if we needed his services in the future, I would not hesitate to contact his company.
