> Great company to work with.
>
> They did a large project for us: removing asbestos-containing popcorn ceiling, repainting the whole house, replacing doors and trim throughout, replacing upstairs carpet, replacing downstairs tile floor with wood, and two bathroom remodels, one of which included moving a door and putting in some new wall. It's now been over two years, and we have no complaints about their work. Everything was done well and has remained in good order. They were also great in the design phase of the project - they really worked with us to sort out the details of especially the bathroom remodels so we could get to something that fit what we were looking for. Two years later, when I go into our bathrooms I still think - wow, this is so much nicer than it used to be.
>
> Not the cheapest company to work with, but if you want quality results, highly recommend.

**Comment from Eastside Kitchen & Bath:**

> Thanks Mikhail it was a pleasure to do you project

**★★★★★ — Jeff Bell, Feb. 2024**

> This is a great partner. Zach worked with us to envision a luxury master bathroom. My wife wanted a clean slate, so the demo "took it down to the studs." Zach and Neri re-routed HVAC vents, removed one window and added a new one. We replaced a dated jacuzzi tub and 2 separated vanities with a luxury master bath - soaking tub, walk-in shower, suspended double sink vanity, heated floors. The works! And great value for such an extensive job. Done ON TIME!
>
> Highly recommend.

**★★★★★ — HU-275296362, Feb. 2024**

> We worked with Eastside Kitchen & Bath to remodel the kitchen and living areas in our upstairs, two baths, a laundry and rec room. It was extensive work with a pair of walls coming down, removal of part of a ceiling, and a tricky floor installation that had to blend and match the aged cherry flooring of the surrounding spaces. EKB's team was solid top to bottom. Project management was excellent from Zach's side. We had a few early delays with permits and some unpleasant discoveries in the foundation of the house, which was cracked and had been admitting water out of sight for years. EKB worked skillfully with the permit issues. The repair on the foundation was well-priced and promptly accomplished. The subcontractors EKB engaged on plumbing and electrical side were excellent - in the course of the remodel they resolved issues that we'd tried to address repeatedly with a half dozen other professional over the years. I saved their names to work with them in the future.
>
> EKB's on site team were great to work with. We want to call out our on site project lead, Vannok, especially. He was everything you could look for in the role. He was well-organized, reliable, both detail-focused and able to see the larger vision of the work. He was exceptionally good in communicating with us, making sure each step unfolded the ways we expected, or many times, better than we expected. He helped troubleshoot dozens of small issues and details of the work that other contractors might have shrugged off as insignificant. The major work was done exceedingly well, and the finishing details, well, these were done superbly. EKB did not walk away until every detail of the job was clean and beautiful. We literally could ask nothing more - not a speck of paint of a window sill, a cabinet door hung a half inch out of flush, or a section of baseboard left wonky or loose behind a door in the basement. The work was as damn near perfect as I have ever seen from a contractor or service person, and it was done this way in every space in the house. So, yes, we would recommend EKB. This review is our little thank you to them.

**★★★★★ — okyfunoky, June 2023**

> We hired Eastside Kitchen and Bath to remodel two bathrooms – and would very highly recommend them. From the very beginning of the process we were impressed. Kody, the estimator, chatted with me over the phone and talked about the scope and set expectations on cost before we met in person for the estimate. When the time for the estimate came, Kody sat down with us first and talked over what exactly we were looking for in the bathrooms. The difference here with other companies we looked at was huge - other companies got right to measuring the space before really talking about what we were looking for.
> Once the design phase started, we worked with Brandon, the designer. Again, Brandon listened to us and provided excellent guidance and feedback during the design phase. We’re thrilled with the custom cabinets that he designed.
> Finally, we met the MVP of our project, Alex, our project manager. Alex is an incredibly hard worker, and very courteous and conscious that he is working in someone’s home. He managed the subcontractors with almost no input from me. He respected our time and wishes. Alex has an eye for detail and kept the project moving and almost entirely on time. He also had useful feedback on functional elements within the bathrooms. The only real delay for our project was glass installation, but we had two exceptional and usable bathrooms on the date set out at the start of the work, and once the glass fixtures were installed, the bathrooms really shined.
> Again, we would highly recommend Eastside Kitchen and Bath for your remodels.

**★★★★★ — Jeff Lerch, May 2023**

> I would highly recommend Eastside Kitchen and Bath for your remodeling and restoration needs. We did a full remodel of the bottom level of our house with them, including floors, drywall skimming, stair restoration, and a full kitchen remodel. Throughout the whole process the team there was responsive, thoughtful, and highly considerate of our needs as they moved step by step through everything.
>
> I'd like to particularly call out our project coordinator Alex who, despite some typical setbacks, went above and beyond to ensure that the quality of the work met OUR bar, and that things went as smoothly and non-disruptively as possible over the six months we had them doing work. We're already considering Eastside for additional projects that we have planned, mostly due to his professionalism, attention to detail, and customer-first approach.
>
> We vetted a lot of places heading into the remodel of our home, and Eastside met those expectations, or exceeded them, in every aspect once they were on the job. Can't recommend them enough.

**★★★★★ — Daniel Howell, March 2023**

> Eastside Kitchen & Bath worked with us to take some vague ideas and a houzz ideabook and turn it into an amazing house to live in. Zack worked a few structural miracles to make our uniquely weird home layout actually work. Alex was running the project on site and would take the time to explain things, interpret sub-contractors, make recommendations about many in the moment decisions, and just keep things running smoothly. The office crew made the whole permit/inspection process something we didn't have to think about at all, it was just taken care of. The whole team was great to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

**★★★★★ — Leah Uy, Feb. 2023**

> EKB did a great job with our kitchen/living room renovation. A big shout out to Alex, whom we worked closely during the project. Alex was very responsive, easy to talk to and really helped us throughout the process. He paid attention to small details and made sure things were done in a timely manner. We strongly recommend EKB and just look/ask for Alex!

**★★★★★ — Kim Smallwood, Jan. 2023**

> We hired EKB for a kitchen remodel after receiving several dropped bids and interviewing a number of others. We appreciated their responsiveness and the ability to schedule us in a reasonable time frame and provide a commitment to the schedule. Their strong suit is in project construction and implementation. All of the subs were excellent and on time and easy to work with. We worked with their designer to assist in material selection and cabinet design, however would
> we would likely hire an independent designer if we ever did another project due to our own time constraints. While we did not have any structural changes the kitchen was gutted and new everything installed with some cabinet redesign. The project was on time until the cabinet company had an unexpected painting delay. Even still, EKB kept the project going as best they could. We also asked them to provide custom pantry doors, which took a few iterations since it was new to us. Overall, we are very happy with the project and it’s results. Austin was our on-site project lead and was an absolute delight to work with. He was very responsive took the time to work through the project components with us and explain the details. He took on projects as needed to keep the work progressing. Jesus, the EKB painter was also exceptional and worked with us to make our pantry doors match the cabinets. Zach, the project manager was always willing to work with us to make any adjustments necessary to get the job done right. Even when it came to a last minute tile switch. We would definitely hire EKB again.

**★★★★★ — northface0912, Nov. 2022**

> Eastside Kitchen and Bath is a rare combination of top-notch craftsmanship, quality, customer service and down-to-earth pricing. We did a $300k+ remodel with these guys where we fully remodeled the kitchen, all bathrooms and two fireplaces + did a bunch of custom stuff and we could not have been happier with our result and the experience. Our remodeled home looks absolutely spectacular and wows all the guests that visit us; but what was really remarkable is how surprisingly pleasant it was to deal with EKB along the way. EKB folks have built a detailed plan of execution, communicated very well, did things on time, but most importantly: went out of their way to make necessary adjustments as the remodel was progressing and were very receptive to our feedback and requests. Outstanding company, we would highly recommend them.

> Eastside Kitchen and Bath Review:
> I interviewed many different contractors and decided on Eastside Kitchen and Bath because of the well outlined bid and timeline. Having remodeled a kitchen before, I had in mind to allow extra time for delays and added headaches. On the contrary, the entire remodel was on a very well orchestrated schedule beginning every day at 7AM and completing on budget (with my own additions) and on time as planned. Communication was always prompt and clear through an onsite project manager and an online platform where I had my own personal portal. The job site was constantly cleared of debris and swept clean at the end of each day. My impression was that when you hire EKB, you actually work with an amazing team of dedicated artisans who share a rare rapport with each other and the homeowner/client. Integrity of this level is a rare find. I believe this can be attributed to Drew Bauer's skills as a well respected leader who has high standards of who he works with and how the work is done. I can not believe how fortunate I was in choosing Eastside Kitchen and Bath as my contractor.
>
> Our remodel involved a structural wall removal which went far beyond a cosmetic 'kitchen facelift'. This is where I had renewed appreciation for the extent to which EKB was able to work with a civil engineer to properly restructure the opening. Additionally, a shower was added to an existing bathroom to turn an office into an ensuite guest room by bumping into the laundry room and new flooring covered the entire first floor before a new kitchen was installed. New trim work and an excellent paint job gave us an entirely new first floor which exceeded our expectations. I am truly thankful to EKB and their amazing crew for creating a stress free renovation process.

**★★★★★ — gighouse5, Feb. 2021**

> We recently had Eastside Kitchen and Bath remodel our master bathroom, and couldn't be happier with the experience and results. Everyone on their team was so knowledgeable and helpful from choosing the tiles and fixtures to all the small decisions along the way, they had the experience and knowledge to know what was going to work and look great. My project coordinator, Zach, was so responsive and easy to get a hold of and took care of any questions/issues right away. All the workers were courteous and professional while in the house, leaving everything clean and tidy each day. The project was completed in a timely manner even as we worked through the holidays andwe are very happy with the beautiful results of our contemporary and beautiful new bathroom!

**★★★★★ — natasha2021, Jan. 2021**

> Very happy with the end result and the process. Eastside Kitchen and Bath are top notch professionals. The overall project was on target for the price quoted. Eastside Kitchen & Bath had to rearrange their schedule multiple times due to delays in shipment of appliances we had purchased (not their fault) due to COVID. Eastside worked around these issues and made the overall schedule work. There were some challenging parts that required the team to step in and take care of it, and they did to ensure project stayed on course. The team obeyed rules re: PPE/safety during COVID and cleaned up before they packed up for the day. We would highly recommend them for your projects!!!

**★★★★★ — HU-715477413, Oct. 2020**

> Eastside Kitchen and Bath did a fantastic job with our remodel. Early in 2020, we had to restore and remodel our first floor after water damage. Drew was very responsive in getting us an initial bid and expedited our schedule. We really appreciated this because this was right at the beginning of the Covid restrictions and there was a lot of uncertainty. My wife and I wanted our first floor back as soon as possible (especially our kitchen!), and we also wanted to adhere to the safety guidelines. Drew was able to bring in his crew and immediately start work while at the same time keeping everybody safe. The employees at EKB are all great to work with. They are highly skilled, conscientious, and friendly. All the the subcontractors were also very high quality. The project was run very smoothly with good communication and clear expectations. EKB worked well with our designer and the end result is way better than I could have imagined. We will definitely be using EKB for future projects!

**★★★★★ — Audrey P., March 2020**

> Our prior shower tiles were popping off, presumably due to the shower water leaking behind the wall. Think perfect opportunity to renovate our antiquated bathroom! Then right after demolition, multiple leaks were detected---from the roof! Yes, we ended up having to replace the entire roof & gutters as well! What would have been a nightmare was made easier with the guidance of Eastside Kitchen and Bath. Zach proactively helped find professionals to help with our roof and orchestrated the daily schedule. Kerry was the team manager, who has a keen eye and skilled workmanship from the flooring to crafting scribes (strips of matching teak to fill the gap between our vanity and wall). We also thank the team of Alex, Kody, and Tyler. Even during the snowstorm, they braved our unplowed hilly streets and were on time. We appreciate the prompt and open communication and transparency of costs. We love our master bathroom—an oasis especially during a pandemic.

**★★★★★ — Jessica Bell, Feb. 2020**

> I have worked with Drew and his crews for over 15 years. He is one of the best tile setters I have ever worked with hands down! His excelence and pride he puts into his work, has directly translated to the work his company Eastside Kitchen and Bath produces. I am always impressed with the designs and the attention to detail of his installions. ESKB is upfront with project costs, so there are no surprises, and they are always friendly and professional!

**★★★★★ — TERESA Mortenson, Jan. 2020**

> Builders Interiors has been working with Eastside Kitchen & Bath for over a decade and are always impressed with not only the professionalism that the EKB team brings to each job but the level of quality and performance they perform for each and every job.
>
> We love EKB!

**★★★★★ — Alykhan Sunderji, Nov. 2019**

> We worked with Drew and his team to remodel our home in Madison Valley. We did a kitchen, two bathrooms, a laundry room, and other items. This was not a small undertaking, and we were so happy we went with Drew! We collected 3 quotes, and while Drew was on the higher side, I would do it again because you definitely get what you pay for. Here are the things we were super happy about :
> 1\) Finished on time. We had a strict move in date, and Drew's team got it done. Heard many horror stories of contractors taking forever. Not this team.
> 2\) High quality workmanship. This work was very well done. These guys do not cut corners. When they found some corners had been cut, they advised how to fix. Everyone on the team maintains a high bar.
> 3\) Good people. I have no issue trusting these folks alone in my home. They treat it like their own. Brindon and his colleague (name escapes me, but had a very handsome face and very nice guy) would literally spend 10 minutes explaining things to me if I asked how they worked. And if some weird issue came up, they'd figure out how to solve it.
> 4\) Transparent. These guys don't hide anything. They keep you in the loop at every step. I never felt like I didn't know what was going on.
> 5\) Very organized. My life is busy. I don't have time to PM my PM. Didn't have to here. Drew and his team were on it.
> 6\) Stand behind their work. Even after my final payment, Drew's team has come by a couple times to fix small punch list things. Never an issue getting in touch with him.
>
> Net net - if I had to do this again, would definitely go with Drew. i think i probably could have saved 10% with another contractor, but it would have been a headache. Best money I ever spent.

**★★★★★ — travnlin, Aug. 2019**

> After a major house flood due to plumbing issues in an upstairs bathroom, we chose EKB to put things back together for us and we are SO glad we did! It was a huge job, the downstairs of our house had to be gutted down to the studs, there was work under the house, upstairs too, electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile, trim, painting, HVAC, and a full kitchen to put together... Basically a full house remodel. EKB set up an ambitious schedule (which they achieved!) and a budget that they also stuck to. They were flexible when I changed my mind on a couple small items and had great attention to detail. Their work was excellent, communication was great, and the whole team (Drew, Zach, Alex, Jack, and Zed) was professional and hardworking! Something like this could have been such a nightmare and choosing the right contractor made all the difference. I highly recommend EKB!

**★★★★★ — Renata H, June 2019**

> I hired Eastside Bath & Kitchen to remodel my bathroom after the previous contractor left it unfinished and damaged. And what a difference a good contractor makes! Drew and his team (Zach, David, and Tim) did an amazing job. They were responsive, reliable, and paid attention to fine details. I really like the final result and I highly recommend them to anyone.

**★★★★★ — Dayde M, May 2019**

> Selecting the right contractor can be a daunting experience… there are 5 star contractors on a web advisor site so they must be good…not always true. The last 5 star contractor I hired was a nightmare..but not this time!!!! So, I was cautious but I had the benefit of my dear friend and a designer with 37 years of experience dealing with contractors and my oh my, we did good! I was looking for a high quality contractor who was committed to their work and fairly priced.
>
> We picked Eastside Kitchen and Bath. High quality, high integrity, respectful and team focused, offering creative solutions, works within budget and schedule and change impacts are clear, explained well. Works well with the city and made sure I was up to code.
>
> Drew Bauer and team completely remodeled my bathrooms, updated lighting, a kitchen update and updated doors throughout my home. From the first meeting Drew listened carefully to my thoughts as I shaped my thinking and decisions relative to the remodel and provided a timely estimate, answered my many questions, had a project plan, and had a great team.
>
> I would encourage anyone to check out Eastside Kitchen and Bath!

**★★★★★ — Colby Sienkiewicz, May 2019**

> From start to finish, Eastside Kitchen & Bath was an absolute pleasure to work with. If you’ve ever hired a contractor before, you know the story. Your project demolition goes fast, then your contractor gives you lots of excuses about missing the rest of your timeline. Well, this is not the case with Eastside Kitchen & Bath. Drew and his crew keep you in the loop regarding your project. If there IS a delay, you know that they are doing everything they can to keep your project moving forward.
> When my wife and I were picking out materials for our new kitchen, we were overwhelmed with the amount of products in the market. Drew helped us find vendors with high quality materials. He went with us several times to help choose what was right for our project vision. He and his crew was reliable, professional, respectful, and cleaned up after every visit.
> It’s been about 9 months since Eastside Kitchen & Bath has finished our remodel. We have had a few minor problems with equipment they purchased and installed for us (manufactures fault, not EK&B). Each time I contacted Drew, I expected him to give me a phone number for me to handle the problem, but he didn’t. Instead, he took the time to look at the problem and fix it for me. Now that is service!
> We love our remodel! If you are on the fence about who to hire for your project, I highly recommend you give Eastside Kitchen & Bath a call.

**★★★★★ — J Z, Dec. 2018**

> Eastside Kitchen & Bath did a top-notch kitchen remodel for us. Drew Bauer and his entire crew are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and all-around nice guys. They consistently showed up as scheduled and went above and beyond in every aspect of the job, including cleanup at the end of each workday. A special shout-out to Kerry and Zachary, they are two outstanding guys! Drew is hands-on with his projects from inception to completion and a perfectionist as well. Thanx again for a beautiful new kitchen!

**★★★★★ — Julie Bullock, Oct. 2018**

> We had an incredible experience with Eastside Kitchen & Bath. Owner Drew was consistently responsive and helpful His team was professional, courteous, punctual and very, very talented. Their craftsmanship was outstanding. I cannot say enough good things about this company. It was a full kitchen remodel and Drew helped guide and reassure us every step of the way. The finished product is truly gorgeous. We will absolutely use this company again for any future projects.

**★★★★★ — James Dalton Construction LLC, Sept. 2018**

> Drew and his guys are honestly the most professional team that I've seen in the industry. They are highly skilled, honest and passionate about their work. Drew has made a name for himself by doing quality work on a consistent basis for a long time. If you can dream it, these guys have already perfected it!

**★★★★★ — Brett Koons, June 2018**

> In May of 2018, we worked with Eastside Kitchen & Bath to renovate our kitchen and living area. We replaced appliances, cabinets, flooring, countertops, sink, and lighting, with additional cosmetic work on walls and ceilings as well.
>
> Drew and his crew at Eastside K & B did a great job for us, showing up when they said would, communicating expectations so we knew where the job was schedule-wise and what steps were coming up next, working hard to stay on (and sometimes, ahead of) schedule, and leaving the place clean and livable when the day's work was done.
>
> Living through a demolition/renovation is never easy, and there aren't many places to hide in an 1100 sq. foot condo, but Eastside K & B made this process much less difficult than we were expecting.
>
> The finished project looks fantastic and we're extremely happy with it. I would definitely work with Eastside Kitchen and Bath again on any future projects for my home.

**★★★★★ — Jennifer Amend, April 2018**

> Eastside Kitchen & Bath is a great company to work with. Drew and his team are pros who care about the customer experience and the outcome of the project. They're skilled, professional, and conscientious. When I first contacted the company, Drew came to our home, spent time talking about the project, and promptly provided a detailed estimate. Once we signed the contract, the schedule was met and the project was done by the date he said it would be. No hard sell to do more than we wanted, no delays, just great service. He provided terrific advice and input throughout the whole experience, checked in on progress every day, and his team answered all of our questions as they arose. His partners (cabinetry, finishes, etc.) are equally professional, making the whole process easy and even fun. We're delighted with our kitchen and have hired Eastside Kitchen & Bath to do another project. We look forward to working with them.

All of my bathrooms look brand new and updated. They put in a new shower in one bathroom. They put in a new tub in two bathrooms. They did the floors, the toilets and even some carpentry.

> Eastside Kitchen and Bath did a fantastic job on our bathroom, repairing tile and drain system which had been improperly installed years ago. The job demanded aesthetic as well as structural choices, and throughout the whole process Drew and his crew were careful to communicate questions and ideas, and very professional in their implementation.

> We just completed our first house remodel (kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and new flooring upstairs and down) and were very nervous going into the project. We couldn't be happier with the results. Drew was very organized and the whole project was finished on time with no major issues. The few small issues were worked out quickly. He worked with our budget and was great about identifying the areas where we could save money and which areas where we should spend a little more. Drew was helpful with design ideas and he did some beautiful tile work in our kitchen and bathrooms. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

**★★★★★ — ALLIED MARBLE INC, Oct. 2016**

> We've worked with Drew from Eastside Kitchen & Bath on multiple projects, we've also sent out clients to him as a referral and got amazing praise from them for the work done. Drew is extremely professional, knowledgeable and truly knows his stuff. We can't recommend Drew and his team enough to anyone that is looking to do home renovations.

> Drew and his team have completed three jobs for us with excellent results that we are very happy with. He helped us develop the design and his team works very hard to complete the job quickly and professionally. I would not hesitate to contract with Eastside Kitchen and Bath again and have recommended them to friends and family.

**★★★★★ — Reine Huber, Oct. 2016**

> Drew did an EXCELLENT job helping us get our house ready to go on the market! New flooring, 2 new tile showers (GORGEOUS), granite and tile backsplash in kitchen, etc. The jobs were completed without any mistakes or hidden costs, very low impact on our lives, no drama...just easy as could be. His workers are super professional and cleaned up after themselves. Our house sold immediately and we are looking forward to having Eastside K&B back to do some upgrades to our new house! Drew knows what he is talking about!

**★★★★★ — Carrie LaMarr, Oct. 2016**

> We hired Eastside Kitchen & Bath I(EKB) to remodel our kitchen and we could not have been happier. Total professionalism and attention to detail. What sets Drew Bauer and EKB apart is that their goal is to provide the highest quality of work, with the minimal impact to your daily lives. That the work space was cleaned up at the end of each working day was a welcome change from some of the contractors we have hired. The finished tiling job was even better than we could have dreamed of - on time and within budget too! We would not hesitate to hire Drew and his team again.

**★★★★★ — Matt Puls, Sept. 2016**

> We hired Eastside Kitchen & Bath to do a major whole home remodel that I had been planning for years. After I found them on Houzz, Drew really won me over while the significant attention to detail and commitment to working with me and resolving all of my questions even before we even committed to him. We had received multiple bids but no one was attentive and made me feel confident that my high quality vision and expectations would be met in our budget.
>
> We love our newly transformed home!
>
> All of Drew's crew and sub contractors were friendly, respectful, and did quality work. Everyone one worked patiently with me to execute my vision and solved problems creatively and effectively when they arose such as relocating electrical, ventilation, and plumbing.
>
> Thank you Drew and everyone involved with the project!

**★★★★★ — jkey67, April 2016**

> Drew & his team just completed full remodel of three baths and I couldn't be happier. The project went just as we had discussed- started and ended on time and on budget. He kept me informed of progress and was quick to respond to questions and minor changes. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

**★★★★★ — mistook60, Dec. 2015**

> Eastside Kitchen & Bath deserves the highest possible rating in every aspect of their work for us, and this is true for each of Drew's employees, as well. We give them straight As in professionalism, courtesy, dedication, talent, and overall cost. We started retiling our master bathroom and realized it was more than we wanted to do on our own, which led us to seeking a contractor. Drew at Eastside was the first of three we interviewed, and immediately set the bar. The two subsequent companies weren't even close to matching the confidence and professionalism Drew exhibited, and we were certain that he was the only one we would work with. Drew's estimate was right in the middle of the three bids we received.
>
> A week was estimated for project length, and the project began and was finished perfectly on schedule. We were extremely pleased to see that each evening, the work area was swept and cleaned to keep the dust down in the rest of the house. Drew, Frank, and Zack were faced with three flights of stairs in our townhome, and never complained about the additional time required to bring materials up and down those stairs. In fact, the first thing Drew did was to ensure that the maple stairs were protected with Ram Board floor protectors for the length of the project, just in case there was any mortar or water residue. In our experience, this attention to detail is rather rare, and we felt that our home was treated with as much care as if it belonged to any of the workers! Moreover, Drew communicated with us regularly to let us know the progress and to work with us on unforeseen problems that arose during the remodel. Nothing threw him, and he had immediate (and inexpensive) solutions. Oh, and we have to say that if you're lucky enough to work with these professionals, you'll LOVE the fact that they're absolutely meticulous with ensuring that tiles and grout lines are as perfect as possible, which is particularly important to us!
>
> And the end result? WOW! Our master bath is now an EXQUISITE space that exceeds all of our earlier expectations, with perfectly tiled and accented tub and shower surrounds, quartz countertop, tile backsplash, newly tiled floor, and tile base molding.
>
> We couldn't be more happy with the final product AND the project costs, and would ABSOLUTELY recommend Eastside Kitchen & Bath to anyone looking for a top-of-the-line contractor. We've already gotten a commitment from Drew to redo our master bath after we've moved to Atlanta. Whatever additional costs may be required to get him on the plane will be well worth it! Thank you, Eastside Kitchen & Bath!!!

> Drew was one of the first tile guys I started networking with. I always looked up to his work and followed his progress through the past couple years. Any one would be lucky to hire an installer that's always pushing for the next level of perfection and learning the industry. I can tell that Drew is a man of quality and passion for his work.

> I found Drew through a mutual friend and found that we had known each other for a while. My wife and I were ready to remodel our outdated small master bath. Drew was on it! Very impressive tile-work for a standing shower, great problem solver when things came up. The proposal and final payment price were an exact match even when things came up that we needed to figure out. Prompt with every day of work and also great with daily communication to let me know the current status of things before I even got home.

> Eastside kitchen and bath installed a kitchen back splash for us, Drew referred me to a tile supplier that was great and he coordinated everything after I picked out the tile. He was very helpful with all the little details that I did not think about He gave me a time frame of 3 days but ended up only being 2 days doing all the install. Everything looks great and we could not be happier with it!
> Thanks Drew and team!

**★★★★★ — Chris Manly, March 2015**

> We recently did a full home remodel (not with Eastside Kitchen & Bath). One of the most important aspects of the remodel was the new master bathroom (specifically the shower stall). Our other contractors did a TERRIBLE job, with so many problems. It didn't drain properly, the tile work was shoddy, etc. We were referred to Drew and his company by our plumber to fix the master shower stall and the guest room bathtub/shower surround tile work. Drew was always extremely professional, realistic, and he delivered everything he promised (stuck to his budget, his time frame, and his promised quality). We could not be more pleased with our newly remodeled master shower stall and guest bathroom. I would highly recommend Drew and his team for any bathroom or kitchen design work. Super amazing quality work!

**★★★★★ — karapoysky, Feb. 2015**

> This was my first experience with a remodel so I really didn't know what to expect. We received two bids on my kitchen. Drew proposed a budget slightly higher than the other company, but explained that the products that he uses are extremely high quality and worth the extra money. He had great sub-contractors that helped us with the design of the kitchen and the selection of cabinets. Rather than recommending I use the standard sized cabinets ordered from China to save a few dollars(the other contractor suggested) we opted for the custom cabinetry to fit the layout of my kitchen perfectly. I couldn't be more happy with the soft close drawers and doors, and my two Lazy-Susan's that are solid wood and painted a special white to fit my vision. During the install of the cabinets we discovered that our ceilings were not flat so Drew had to improvise to make them look plush to the ceiling, nobody would ever be able to tell. The lighting of the kitchen had to be rearranged with the new layout so we installed some nice new can lights with LED's lights, under cabinet lighting, pendant lights, and dimmers. Rather than going with the typical granite Drew suggested a nice, low-maintenance, top of the line Cambria which my husband is so proud of. It is gorgeous!! The laundry closet was a little bit of a nightmare for Drew because of the size of washer and drier I ordered, but he took it as a challenge to make it work, and he sure did. I got to have the W & D I really wanted! Drew is most famous for his tile work which is flawless. He did a phenomenal job on my backsplash and floors. I even asked him to come back recently to do my fireplace. :) Overall, my kitchen turned out more amazing than I could have ever imagined. We were completed in the 3-4 weeks that were estimated and within our budget (other than the couple of upgrades/changes that I made along the way, OOPS!). I recommend Drew at Eastside Kitchen & Bath 1,000 times over. He will make sure the job is done right and won't be finished until you are 100% happy.

> I have never had as rewarding an experience with a contractor as I did with Drew Bauer and Eastside Kitchen & Bath, Drew's work was excellent (he remodeled all 3 of our bathrooms and gutted our entire kitchen ... it is now the best kitchen I have ever had ... I just love it!), he was timely, he and his workers were courteous and respectful of my home, and the value for what we paid was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend Drew and his team.

## Community Q&A

**Q: love the wall color.** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you tell me the brand and name of the wall paint?

A: Very nice color pallet

**Q: The Wallpaper Revival** *(in Home Decorating)*

Five years ago, if you’d Googled “wallpaper trends” you’d probably not come up with much – wallpaper was still passé. It conjured up images of 1950s suburbia or a drawing room from the Victorian era.

But today, you no longer need to wonder “Is wallpaper in style?” because it is everywhere – bigger, bolder and more unique than ever before! There are several reasons why wallpaper is back and being used in interior design.

The Wallpaper Appeal
The appeal for wallpaper has blossomed in the last few years, and it is showing no signs of withering away. “The interesting aspect about wallpaper today is that there isn’t one overriding trend,” explains Lorrie Hochuli, Interior Designer for Hochuli Design & Remodeling Team, LLC. “There is so much variety available that it really allows us to show off our personality and customize our homes.”

Gone are the subtle prints and colors. Wallpaper today is often big, bold and bright. Mary DeWalt, CMP, MIRM, President of Mary DeWalt Design Group, explains that she feels the resurgence in wallpaper is tied to another trend rebirth – Bohemian décor – a perfect blend of eclectic and fun.

According to Lita Dirks, CEO, Lita Dirks & Co., LLC, one of the reasons why wallpaper is such a hot trend is because “wallpaper adds comfort and warmth into our spaces. For so many years, we had such simple, clean designs – almost naked – and now people want to bring design character and personality back into their homes.”

Photo courtesy of Lita Dirks & Co., LLC

Dirks notes that the resurgence is occurring in two main areas: texture and drama.

Taken literally, textured papers create a focal point backdrop to a simpler, cleaner look. “Textured wallpapers add another sense to a room – touch – where you can feel the grass cloth, velvet or leather on the walls,” says Dirks. These papers add a tremendous amount of warmth and character to a space.
Texture can also be created by the wallpaper pattern itself. Natural stone, greenery and geometric shapes will add a splash of color and dimension to a room.

Photo courtesy of Lita Dirks & Co., LLC

Additionally, wallpaper can add drama. Whether an entire wall is papered or simply framed out, these huge images add the element of fun back into a home. “Whatever the imagery is, it’s bolder than life – wonderful large wallpaper patterns of leaves, flowers or geometric shapes,” explains Dirks.

In fact, that’s one of the greatest appeals of wallpaper for many consumers – the unlimited possibilities of choices. Wallpaper is now printed digitally, so one-of-a-kind designs can be created. Dirks notes, “In the past, designing your own wallpaper was too pricey for most consumers, but technology has made this option affordable.”

Another benefit to today’s wallpaper is that it no longer must be permanent – or at least long-term – as once was the case. According to Hochuli, “Wallpaper is much easier to remove, and for that reason, you’ll see more wallpaper being used in rental properties and dorm rooms.”

Modern Wallpaper Designs for Today’s Homes
Where is wallpaper being used? Perhaps the better question is, where isn’t it being used? Here are some places wallpaper is trending within the walls of our homes:

In smaller spaces, such as an office nook or powder room, where larger prints of traditional four-wall wrap expand the perceived square footage.
On focal point walls, particularly in bedrooms, where personality can be added with paper.
In hallways, which are being wainscoted with textured, or embossed, wallpaper.
On large walls, where wallpaper can serve as tapestry or art. Mural-styled wallpaper is also seeing a resurgence.
On staircase risers, for a subtle flair — or go bold by wallpapering the entire stairwell.
On ceilings, particularly in dining rooms and studies.
On open shelving, whether it is in the kitchen or on a bookcase.

What’s next for wallpaper? Only time will tell – but it looks like this modern wallpaper trend is just getting started, and we’ll see even more creative prints, textures and applications in the coming year.
