> I wanted an estimate for some changes in my garage, Rob came and started to work on the estimate quickly. So I was pleased. But then he said an engineer would need to look at the construction before he could finish the estimate. I had to pay 300 !!!!  to that guy just for coming over and looking at the construction  (wich is not very difficult btw). When I asked I was told this is common if a specialist  like an engineer is getting involved. Since I am new in the US I don´t know how things are here - but I wondered.... He only was here for 30 minutes! . I had to pay that guy on the spot. Received a first but not complete and not very detailed cost breakdown. Went through this with Rob again to finalize  and add missing points and then never heard from them again. I sent an email - no response.
