> I was hoping not to write this review but I feel others should consider our experience if hiring this company.
> We had high expectations when we decided to contract with Aldo. We saw some of their projects in different phases of construction. They appeared to understand what we were looking for, at least that was our impression. Once we signed the contract things seem to change. It seem disorganized to me. It bothered me that they did not seem transparent with certain things, like maybe we would not notice or care. There was no attention to detail and the subcontractors seem to be doing whatever they wanted and not what we had requested. I caught several near misses which then made me feel like they were not paying attention to the project.
> If you are building a custom home the idea is that it is what you want. It is your dream home. Sometimes during this process it seemed that they wanted to build what they wanted and not what we wanted. Expected us to compromise or WE had to find an alternative if we did not like their options. Several items on the plans were not done due to "budget" but I suspect they just did not want to do them as they were more specialized (hidden doors) or did not know how to do them although I sent multiple videos and specs for hinges etc.. that were ignored. They were things that were in the plans since the beginning.
> They did not have the courtesy of a final walk through with, they just left the keys in a drawer and told us we could move in.
> It has been a year now and we still have some issues unresolved. I have contacted them on several occasions and my emails have been ignored. Not professional from a company that brands itself as top notch. So, if you are considering this contractor be aware.

> We worked with Aldo Partners to do complete teardown and rebuild in an urban environment (within the City of Madison). From the very beginning, Aldo was excellent to work with. From idea to mockup to the actual build and completion, they've exceeded expectations from a quality and support standpoint and gone above and beyond. They operate with integrity and professionalism. We had very unique restrictions that Aldo navigated with ease and grace, and they were transparent through every facet of the build process - progress, budgetary items, materials selection, etc. We cannot recommend Aldo enough - - if you have the opportunity to work with this great crew, do it! You will love them.

> Incredible builder and remodeler! Outstanding in every way. They remodeled my home in the summer of 2018. Andy is intelligent, professional, knowledgable, kind, respectful, and attends to every last detail. My husband and I are thrilled with the results. My friend referred Aldo Partners to me. She has hired them for a variety of projects over the past 6 years - all with excellent results. We highly recommend Andy and Tim and the entire staff of Aldo Partners.

> Also Partners did an amazing job from start to finish with our custom home. The entire process was fun and easy, and the quality and integrity of their work is visible. We also appreciated their attention to detail, eco-friendly options, and their creativity in adding extra character to the home. They had so many ideas and thoughtful advice that truly transformed our house into something one of a kind.

> The owners are fantastic, honest people. We highly recommend!

## Community Q&A

**Q: What is the surround on the fireplace?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is it metal? If so, where can I buy this metal?

A: Hello. The fireplace surround is metal. The metal was left raw and finished by rubbing with paste wax to help stop rusting. You can purchase this material at a local metal fabrication shop.

**Q: Is there a floor plan available for this cabin?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Curious about the sq footage, \# of bedrooms, general layout

A: Hello. Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, I am not able to provide the floor plan on this project.

**Q: Polished Cement Floors** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can you please tell me what was used/done to create this look with the polished cement floors? Was a color added or used? If so, which color and brand?

A: Hello Wendy. Thanks for the question. The floor was left natural...it does not have a stain or color added. To create a deeper gray color, I had the concrete contractor 'burn' the floor with his finishing machine. This process creates deeper gray and charcoal colors. The floor finishing contractor polished the floor with very fine grits to allow the concrete cream to stay on the surface (client did not want aggerate showing). We refer to this finish as burnishing the floor. The floor finisher used Prosoco Consoliddeck LS densifier and Ameripoilsh stain protector. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best, Andy
