> Poor and unsafe quality of work. Crew drank on site and constantly left trash (food, cigarettes, and work related) all around the outside and inside of the house, it’s evident that cheap materials and labor were used, damaged other areas of my home not being worked on, never pulled permits despite invoicing me
> with a fake permit number, a laundry list of stolen items from my home (lawn equipment, ladder, new hardware for cabinets, etc). It was a nightmare and never completed because I had to fire this contractor for extremely poor quality of work, his failure to pay subcontractors, and overall unsafe living environment.

> They were recommended to me from a co-worker and went completely above and beyond. They were extremely timely and did a great job in communicating to me the estimate, the price, and the expected timeframe on the work I was getting done. As they did the renovations in my families home, the workers were very competent and respectful of my time and my things. They had a staff I could trust to leave in my home and they did an exceptional job. When I had an initial idea of what I wanted, they suggested things I would have never thought of previously and made it better than I had hoped! > I contacted Home\*Work after receiving recommendations via multiple sources. The owner was very quick to respond. The estimate was sent to us about 2 weeks late, but I wrote it off as just the typical being backed up. I should have taken that as a warning. Once the work started, it went downhill quickly. I never received a complete timeline of the project, even when I asked for it multiple times. The workers had no idea of what was estimated and what needed to be done. I expect a general contractor to manage a project and come prepared. Additionally, the workers almost never showed up on time if they showed up at all. After complaining several times about work not getting done or getting done poorly, we were assigned a new project manager. After being 1.5 months behind schedule and work having to be redone multiple times due to poor quality, we decided to pause any new work and focus on repairs. When I got called to be out of town, I gave at least two weeks notice to them to complete the repairs before I left. Not only were the repairs not completed in time, but when I made arrangements in advance for someone to be home for workers to come over, our requests were ignored. Our house was also left a mess. Overall, the work was not top quality. Some of the work was turned out decent but it was stressful. For the work not finished or needs to be redone, I requested a refund a few weeks ago. I have not received the refund yet.
