I need to choose a gender for the curtains. I don't know id i choose something white or if will be ok with the zig zag gender of the pillows... A: I wouldn't put anything on or over those windows. **Q: Living Room Window Treatment HELP** *(in Design Dilemma)* Our living room is 32' long x 14' wide. The wall in the photo opens to our back yard. The fireplace is centered on the exterior wall and has a 30" wide x 64" window on both sides. Outside of the windows are 96" tall x 60" wide sliding doors. We currently have 20" tall cornice boxes over each ( sliding doors cornice boxes are 72" w x 20" tall) (windows are 36" x 20" tall) Roman shades each 30" wide (2) on each sliding door and 1 on each window. my wife loves the fabric in the photo, but we are struggling with whether to change cornice boxes, drapes under a full box over windows and doors, we only have 13" between the fireplace window and sliders. Help and ideas appreciated! A: If you want a sleeker look you can do ripplefold drapery **Q: how do you handle the valance return?** *(in Photo Questions)* If the tie is on the front of the rod what keeps the return up? thx A: Very easy, you allow the number of inches you need for the return to the wall. When fabricating, you may have to make the return an inch or so shorter than the overall treatment (depending on rod you are installing on) - you can put an eye hook either on the wall or on the rod (whether you are going over or under the rod) and simply insert a drapery pin and hook onto the eye. Really easy and it prevents seeing the hardware from the side - much cleaner look. **Q: Can you tell me the paint that was used for the walls?
