> There are not enough stars to give Gayler Design Build for the work that they did for us. Having never attempted a remodel before, we were not sure what to expect. Thankfully we were effortlessly guided through this entire process and are overjoyed with the result!
>
> Learning more about the “design build” concept made us lean towards this company. After researching all of their reviews and even talking to some of their former clients, we knew that it was worth it for us to entrust them with our project. From the very first meeting until the last walkthrough, we were guided with precision and care.
>
> There is simply no way we would ever consider any other construction company on any future projects. We were thrilled with what Gayler Design Build did for us and would highly recommend them. They treat you like family and we are happy to call them friends!

**★★★★★ — User, March 2020**

> It has been such a pleasure working with Gayler Design Build. I am one of their photographers who photographs their beautiful work. Ever space I enter I am always impressed with their design and quality. I feel what is most telling is their clients tell me in confidence that they are sad their projects come to an end. This is because they have created a special bond with their clients. Now that's great business!

**★★★★★ — John Fox, March 2020**

> Gayler Design Build designed and built a Kitchen/Great Room that we enjoyed tremendously while we lived in our home, and added to the value and ease of selling our home when we recently decided to retire and move. The transformation of the kitchen and great room was beautiful, and never failed to impress guests and functioned so well for our daily needs and our frequent entertaining. On the business side of things, Gayler did quality work, finished on time and on budget, and followed up with their 5-year warranty just as they promised. We told everyone we knew if they ever needed remodeling, Gayler was the company to use.

> The office told me that for an ADU renovation (400 sq ft) would cost $400,000. $1000 per square foot is not reasonable. Thanks but no thanks.

**Comment from Gayler Design Build:**

> Hi Glenn,
> We're sorry we disappointed you. We base our ballpark ranges on past projects and include everything from design, permitting, all the fees and all the soft costs, as well as all the hard costs. That way there are no surprises to our clients. We know you were considering pre-fab, which is definitely the less expensive way to go. If you can do it, we would encourage it, but most cities and towns require "like" construction, so that often isn't an option. The ADU we used as an example was not a renovation, instead, it was a brand new 400 square foot home that we built. The scope of work included everything from running the utilities, building a foundation, all of the exterior work of the home and surrounding area, as well as everything in the interior.--kitchen, full bath, bedroom, living area- all done with high end interior and exterior amenities and finishes.
> We wish you the best with your project.
> Sincerely,
> Darlene Gayler

**★★★★★ — Rachel Cohen, May 2019**

> We are in the process of a big project with the Gayler team, touching pretty much every inch of an entire house. Therefore I am currently in contact with someone from Gayler Design Build several times a week….calls, in person visits/ meetings, my many long emails with lots of questions… you get the picture. And each of those several times a week I continue to be blown away by how amazing George Gayler and his entire team are! I have rarely encountered such a responsive business, let alone anything related to construction which is notorious for poor communication and less than ideal timeliness.
>
> I interviewed many different options and found that questions were often not clearly addressed, or I had to follow up repeatedly myself to get references and see examples of past work. It was a lot of work and valuable time on my end in itself before even starting a project. George Gayler, in contrast, arrived to meet us for the first time with a folder of straight forward info on their process, what we could expect, and… several pages of references listing project scopes, lengths of time, and phone numbers any and all of which he said I could call any time as references. Wow. So I did call, many of them, and got the same bottom line from all: the Gayler Team is unmatched in their quality of work and ease of communication and project management. Time is a precious commodity and they really honor that.
>
> I get such prompt responses from George and Jessica, always throughly answering my questions and addressing any concerns. Every extension of this team has been wonderful and we could not be happier with them. Doing a major remodel in creating your ideal home is daunting and I can not imagine doing it without the Gayler team. They continue to listen and work with me, never dismissing my ideas and always helping to confirm the real possibilities and address that one dreaded word: “budget,” as well as that other touchy word “timeline” which they have truly excelled with- completing phases faster than I expected and helping to keep things on track much more so that could otherwise. How often do you hear that in regarding anything remodel/ home related? My point exactly!

**★★★★★ — redtoo, Jan. 2019**

> This was the best experience we’ve ever had for a remodel. They redid our family room taking out an old fireplace and window seats giving us a wonderful view to the back of our property and the hills beyond. They were done a week early before our planned vacation. Their staff was SO professional in every way compared to anyone on any job we’ve ever had done. Just great!

**Comment from Gayler Design Build:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to review our company, and we were so excited to read the wonderful testimonial you wrote! As I'm sure we've told you, we will be keeping in touch with you for the next 5 years to see if there is any warranty work that is needed, so that you can have peace of mind and enjoy your newly remodeled family room!

**★★★★★ — Lucy and Don Galen, Dec. 2018**

> We are so happy we chose Gayler Design Build to remodel our master bath. This entire process was well organized and on schedule from initial consultation to completion of the project, enhanced by great communication with the staff. The design professional, Dorene Gomez, was the frosting on the cake and an absolute joy.
> The result is a beautiful new bathroom and a stress-free experience!

**Comment from Gayler Design Build:**

> Wow, thank you so much for your review! We're so happy you're happy and truly enjoyed working with you! And we will have to tell Dorene she was "the frosting on the cake"- she will love that!

**★★★★★ — Brain and Nancy Hartley, Nov. 2018**

> We are so impressed, and happy, to work with Gayler Design Build. We feel very lucky, to find Gayler! We decided on Gayler, after attending a seminar. All of the customer references, indicated, total satisfaction, with the work of Gayler. Having many happy customers is a good sign, and that impressed us. We could not be happier. Everything exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend Gayler, and hope to use them for future projects.

**Comment from Gayler Design Build:**

> Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are so lucky to work with clients as nice as you are!

**★★★★★ — Kim Lindeberg, March 2018**

> The best experience ever! We traveled allot during our first floor and kitchen remodel and felt completely comfortable having their team in our home while away. A couple of days prior to the start of the project they brought the team over to meet us so that we knew who was responsible for what and gave us the utmost confidence in their capabilities. Having access to a web site to see the project while we were gone was great too. Our project was completed one week ahead of schedule and under budget. What a delightful experience and I highly recommend these professionals at Gayler Design Build!

**★★★★★ — COCOON, March 2018**

> We highly recommend the folks at Gayler Design-Build to anyone in the Danville & Walnut Creek area seeking a top notch home remodeling project. Our design firm (located in Philadelphia, PA) has had the opportunity to work with the management of Gayler Design Build for quite some time to implement and sharpen the best practices in the building and remodeling industry. Their process is fantastic and really simplifies things for the client, plus their construction quality is absolutely incredible! You will quickly come to love their team! If you are seeking a company that will be looking out for your best interest, give them a call.

**★★★★★ — Denice Wilcox, March 2018**

> Basically whole house remodel, plus adding square feet. Issues with local permit/ review committees were quite a challenge and they handled them well. Wonderful to work with. We love our house!

**Comment from Gayler Design Build:**

> Thank you so much Denice! We hope you and Mark are enjoying your "new" home every day! Best wishes always!

**★★★★★ — Precision Cabinets, March 2017**

> We have been working with Gayler Design Build for over ten years. Their expertise and professionalism in the field of design build is second to none. They are easy to work with and care about the details that go into every project. The Gayler team is professional and courteous; we would highly recommend them for any remodeling project you have!

**Comment from Gayler Design Build:**

> Thank you for the review. We certainly appreciate our working relationship with you too!
