The communication was terrible and we did not find them trust worthy. I had a vision of what I wanted the house to be which included the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright design. John Seibert and his team, designed a house that made a reality of my vision. John is a careful listener, flexible and open to owner desires. Yet, he will work to maintain the creative design. I was most impressed with 2SL's Project Manager, Zach Fox. He was always on site, always willing to talk and listen and explain. In addition, he is very creative and personally designed many of the house interior features which enhanced the overall design. Zach had an excellent team of subs who were skilled, dedicated to their work and pleasant to be around. The house has a good deal of woodworking, including a beautiful interior staircase which John designed and was built and finished beautifully. (See photos on 2SL). The house was built in about nine months. They took care of it all: design work, permitting work, demo work, foundation work, framing work, restoration of historic windows and doors, HVAC work, electrical and plumbing work, drywalling, new stairs, new kitchen and bathrooms, and a beautiful sanding and finishing of the wooden floors. They have extensive architectural and decorating knowledge. The house is now on the 2016 Builders Tour for the Raleigh area. Principals at 2SL met with owners (one who also runs the school) to take into consideration all of the aspects we wanted in our school as it related to the Montessori philosophy, connection to the environment, rules and regulations required to operate a childcare center in Raleigh, NC, and general aspects of creating a nurturing early childhood educational setting. We couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of the design, the quality of the craftsmanship, and especially with the team approach that was necessary to see this project through to completion.
