> We hired Misha for consultation on a commercial space build-out.  After paying for nearly 30 hours of consultation work, we still didn't feel like we had any concrete ideas that we could implement with our contractor.  The contractor came in and we basically had to start over.

**Comment from Design by Misha:**

> It is correct that Sam hired me to do work on a commercial building that he had recently acquired, and that I worked on his project for about 28 hours.  He requested an ultra modern open office plan, with a handful of small private offices.  In the end, he was provided with a dimensioned and detailed floor plan for his nearly 3000 sq ft, brand new office, including a full list and links to purchase light fixtures, conference room chairs, private office furniture, and open work space chairs, work bar, and stools, carpet selections, flooring selection, custom fallen log with raw steel desk, etc.  They also received mood boards for the space and numerous 3-D renderings.  The design included a very modern and edgy open-office plan utilizing acoustic panels, a modern glass surround conference room, 6 small private offices, 2 cubicles, and open office work space for approximately 45 people…I even specified a couple vintage phone booths for the open office users to have the ability to take private calls.  After a 3 day turn-around on the initial design(as requested), I was asked to change some colors to make the space less modern and more industrial and make just a couple of changes including adding carpeting which they originally were against.  I completed these changes over the following 2 days and produced new 3-D renderings and a new dimensioned floor plan.  Then correspondence stopped, I stopped receiving emails, no return calls, etc.  I finally had to mention my attorney to get any sort of response back from Sam and his partner in any form. In the end, they did pay me, and they ended up receiving all final documents of work up to date.  Had there been better communication, a little bit of a longer turn around time, and a firmer understanding of their needs and wants, I believe that the disagreement could have been avoided.  Looking on the bright side - I have definitely learned some things about how I run my business through this and look forward to implementing new strategies in the future.

**Q: media wall with wine bar** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello, would you please share the distance of the media wall from left to right? Thanks!

A: Thank you for the question!  This was a while ago, but I think that whole wall is approx 16' wide.  If I remember correctly, it's approx 4'-6" \|\| 6' \|\| 4'-6".  Hope this helps!

A: This is a apron front copper sink with a coordinating copper faucet!  We searched and searched to find the winning combo!  Glad you love it!

How did you do the Fire pit and marshmallow sticks?

A: We custom designed the marshmallow sticks and the firepit with a local metal artist here in the Sacramento area.  We love to bring in the creativity whenever we can!

A: Those are custom cut plexiglass, designed and produced just for this project!

A: These were chairs purchased from Smith and Hawkin - it was a couple of years ago though. The metal was a great contrast against the reclaimed wood!
