Jonathan Carson made a careful evaluation of the physical layout of the kitchen, but also took the time to understand what was working in the current layout for the sort of life I was living and what wasn't. He offered several possible layouts, and listened to my concerns and refined the design I chose. He thought of things I would not have and took into account concerns I had that most other people may not. The design, therefore, works well for the way I live, while still being something no future buyer would find idiosyncratic. He had wonderful ideas on making various parts of the design both practical and visually attractive. What might have been dull expanses of wall became fabrics of tile and metal. The space that, while large, often seems cramped, now gives plenty of room for both the cooks and the guests to enjoy themselves without getting in each other's way. The process of selecting marble, tile, appliances, etc. was truly enjoyable—and Jonathan was full of fascinating information. The work done by Pupillo Contracting was always first rate. While no large project reaches a conclusion with out a glitch or two, I never felt I was being neglected, that my concerns were not the first priority, or that my particular needs were not driving the project. I have now got over my fear of losing the "new car smell" in my perfect new kitchen, and I am truly enjoying making meals and seeing my guests in a space that makes everything convenient—and beautiful.
