We were presented with three alternative designs that were mindful of our budget. When we initially talked, I gave Ryan a practical and aesthetic wish-list, which he helped me tailor to the reality of the site and my budget. The final design truly accomplished everything I had hoped for, from solving drainage problems to improving accessibility to providing a lush and colorful outdoor space as an extension of my house. We worked through three iterations of the design, and Ryan was patient, quick, and clear in his communications at all stages. Ryan coordinated construction and planting with the landscape contractors, Redux Garden and Home, tweaking the design as needed, and also helped sequence the landscape work with other exterior improvements. The whole project came in on budget and a little ahead of schedule, and it is gorgeous! What more could one ask? Ryan and Kate were very hands on during the entire project, which included supervising other contractors (for bricks, electricity etc).
