The hall is a good size, about 10'x30' with the stairs off to the side, so when you come into the house the hall is a pretty important focal point. My wife and I had no idea how to tie the hallway, the multi level staircase, all of the moldings etc into the foyer and front porch, all while having it integrate into our living room and dining room to the left and right of the hall...which is why we consulted with Funk Design. As I told Sandra at our first meeting, I really appreciate good design but left up to me our house would look like Joe's Crab Shack.
