> Maggie met with me to explore the type of changes we would like to see in our kitchen remodel.  She was very patient and very knowledgeable.  We were offered several options for our window treatment and settled on Hunter Douglas blinds. Of main concern to me was changing from an electric cook top stove to a gas stove-not an easy job. The final product is a joy to cook with. I love that the stove is in the middle of an island so that I can prepare food and also look out on the guests in my dining area and kitchen.  Brookhaven custom cabinets were selected for the wall cabinets in the kitchen. The cabinets are two different colors, the base cabinets are wood maple and the upper cabinets, silver-pine, a beautiful combination, also suggested by Maggie. I chose Corian counter tops for durability and ease of care, the sand color plays into my desire to create a beach feeling.  Maggie found the most exciting back splash- wavy tiles that remind one of the ocean. Additionally, Maggie offered selection of lighting appliances that completed the remodel of the kitchen. My husband and I felt that we were consulted and advised every step of the project.  We would heartily recommend Maggie for your project.

**Q: What color paint was used on these cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I love the green color of these cabinets.

A: These cabinets were made by Wood Mode Custom Cabinets, and the green is one of their special finishes. But Sherwin Williams SW6452 Island is close enough, particularly if you add a drop of grey to tone it down a little.

**Q: tell me about the under counter lights, please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The under cabinet lights can be LED strips, or plain fluorescents. The LED lights are the newest and most efficient.

**Q: Help .....tie my grey/white kitchen to a cream living room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Newly renovated white and grey kitchen in open space now clashes with my cream furniture and walls . Any suggestion for accent colors, pillows , curtains and rugs to tie it all together . Please help

A: Being that both areas are in neutral colors, you have many options: best one is to think of the color you like - and know that you have liked all of your life, not necessarily a trendy color - and add it to both the kitchen, in the form of towels, canisters, and other kitchen accessories, and to the living room, in the form of artwork on the walls, pillows on the sofa, and a pretty bowl on the coffee table. The other options is to incorporate some grey in the living room, and beige in the kitchen in the manner described for the color full items. I prefer adding the color to sticking to all neutrals which can be boring on the long run. Another idea is to paint the wall behind the refrigerator - which extends into the living space - the color of your choice: coral, blue, green, navy. Whatever it is, the color has to be one that you like and have liked for a while.
