I consulted and subsequently hired her to design a remodel for a bathroom, utility room, kitchen and office nook. We put all of our living spaces in Dawn's hands - Living room, dining room, kitchen and family room. She's been able to listen to our needs, my likes & dislikes and my wife's (which often don't agree) and put together ideas that we are both absolutely in love with. From furniture layout to occasional table vignette she's blended our needs and styles seamlessly. She has either picked or influenced every single piece in these rooms. She's listened (patiently) to all of our concerns and come back with ideas that take into account all we brought up and a million details we'd have never though of. There isn't a single wall, floor, fabric or item in my home that wasn't either created or influenced by Dawn. I have an adorable manufactured custom home which i believe to be the gem of our neighborhood and it was all Dawn's doing. From the placement of every skylight, to the measurements of my entertainment center, to battling my HOA so i could put up the perfect fence Dawn was the driving force of the creation of my home. I believe i was an easy client because i have no creative eye whatsoever so it was so nice to just sit back and let Dawn work her magic. I had inherited a few random furniture pieces, decorative items and pictures that would still be in storage today. But Dawn found the perfect place for every single item. It was truly amazing how she could find a place for even the most misfit of pieces. And more than just well-designed, my home now incorporates family heritage and memorabilia that has become woven into the fabric of my everyday life. However, the client with his/her own vision is also in great hands with Dawn because she is an inspired collaborator as well. In addition to her gifted vision, relentless creative eye, confidence of style and nagging attention to detail (said with love!), she has wonderful interpersonal skills, instincts and intuition. I was going through a very difficult period in my personal life during the designing and construction of my home and she was so graceful and compassionate during that time. She became personally invested in creating the sanctuary that became my home. And it was everything she said it would be and more. I would do another project with Dawn in a heartbeat and I have already recommended her to my closest friends. The wood countertops are actually cherry, but American walnut is also beautiful. Ikea offers pre-cut sizes as do most lumber suppliers and flooring distributors. Just be sure to sand them down properly and then coat with a non-toxic polyurethane. Good luck with your project! **Q: size of room and shower** *(in Photo Questions)* What are the dimensions of this bathroom? where is the shower located in the bathroom and the size. I am reconfiguring a 7 x 10 bathroom and want a separate bath like this. thank you A: Hello! The shower is located - if you were the photographer - over your right shoulder. You can see it in the right mirror; the shower was eventually enclosed with clear glass. **Q: Is this stove electric** *(in Photo Questions)* A: No, this is all gas. **Q: Mirror--** *(in Photo Questions)* It's hard to tell if the mirrors are hung using clips or where they custom made and siliconed to the wall? If clipped, you can hardly tell! A: Hi! Thanks for noticing the clean lines of these mirrors. Actually, they were from Ikea.
