A: Hello Emily, The walls were not painted, but rather plastered, with a subtle integral light sand pigment, which is a tradition in the Santa Fe, NM area. Be it paint or plaster, we typically treat the ceiling the same as the walls. Due to the ceiling being a horizontal surface, with likely less light projected on to it than the vertical walls, it tends to appear to have a shade somewhat darker than the walls. Below it are "vigas", round wood timbers, above which are placed willow branches, to create the dappled light effect. **Q: Paint Color** *(in Photo Questions)* Can you provide information of the brand and paint color on the stucco? It looks so warm and welcoming. A: Technically, there is no paint on the stucco. The color is integral to the stucco. It is Buckskin as manufactured by El Rey. El Rey was purchased by Parrex. A: The wood floor is teak, which can withstand a great deal of moisture. The pieces of wood are far enough apart to allow water to drain through. The wood planking is elevated on pedestals above a depressed concrete slab, in the center of which is the drain.
