Hannah Dee is a design firm – and a designer. She is left-handed and right-brained. She believes in the power of color, pattern, and whimsy. Hannah loves what she does and her clients do, too. As a child, Hannah liked to draw pictures, write stories, and play dress up. As a design professional, she uses her talents to tell your story and dress up your life. Who are you? How do you want to live? What sort of environment delights you? Hannah can help you arrive at the answers and ultimately transform them into the beautiful home that suits you perfectly.

Hannah believes you should enjoy the process of decorating your home and working with a decorator. She wants it to be fun. She wants you to be comfortable. That requires a decorator who offers far more than a talent for decorating. It requires someone who is also an excellent project manager, a first-rate steward of your resources, and a savvy judge of the talent and integrity of others. Because Hannah is all those things, working with her means your project will be completed on time and on budget. Everyone who enters your home or engages with you will be a vetted professional who treats you and your property with courtesy and respect.

Hannah’s interiors tend to be eclectic, often drawing inspiration from European and global references. She loves beautiful fabrics, interesting objects, and chinoiserie. Most importantly she is interested in learning what you love.

Hannah specializes in the following areas: Interior color consultation, exterior color consultation, residential interior design, light commercial interior design, including kitchen and bath design, and redesign. She offers full service interior design services

> I moved into my first home 3 years ago and the paint was fine but needed a clean start. And, although, I've actually taken some color classea before...I was at a loss for what paint colors to use in my house. She came in and within an hour had every paint color picked out for the entire inside of my home. She explained why colors worked together and picked colors I hadn't even thought about. She also provided tid-bits on window treatments, some furniture ideas and worked with what I already had in the house! It was a great experience and lesson.

**Comment from Hannah Dee Interiors:**

> Thank you so much for your kind review! The words "great experience and lesson" is what I aim for each and every time. So that makes me super happy. I'm glad you enjoyed the consult, keep me posted on progress!

> We've painted and repainted our living room (even our painter has commented on what a tricky room it it) and just kept missing the mark. Hannah came over for a 1 hour color consultation and had found the perfect color in about 5 minutes. She then cheerfully spent the rest of the house helping us pick out colors for the rest of the rooms in the house, gave us a mini-lesson on lighting, and advice on re-arranging our furniture to make the most of some tricky spaces. She was amazing! I am sitting in the re-painted room now and it is marvelous. She brought together all our existing furniture and textiles and created the cozy mood we wanted. I'm beyond happy and recommend her highly.

> Hannah has helped with interior and exterior paint color selections and with rug selection. She has done an excellent job and has pleasant and easy to work with. Even my difficult to please mother-in-law was pleased.

**Comment from Hannah Dee Interiors:**

> Thank you so very much! Glad to know our selections were a hit with the whole family. :)

> Last May, I had just moved into my untouched-since-1960 apartment and had no idea where to begin. Due to budget constraints, I was not looking to do a full renovation but wanted to do some cosmetic work while doing some long-term planning. I had seen pictures of Hannah's kitchen renovation on Houzz and was smitten. Hannah was just amazing! She was kind and understanding and really guided me through a decision-making process. She helped me make color and fabric choices that continue to feel true to my aesthetic. At the same time, her constantly-felt expertise left me feeling secure and helped me both take some risks and create a unified feel to the entire space. I look forward to working with her on larger projects in the future and recommend her unconditionally for both small and large projects.

**Comment from Hannah Dee Interiors:**

> I'm so very pleased I was able to make your transition a more pleasant one. You already had some great stuff work with and I love your adventurous sense of style. Loved the finish product, you took my advice and ran with it!

> I worked with Hannah to finish projects that we had started in my Dining Room and Living Room. I was really stuck in my dining room project and Hannah was patient and had wonderful ideas. She worked with my style and helped pick items that were taylored to our lifestyle. She had immediate ideas for my living room space and once again offered a wide range of styles and price ranges. I am hoping to work with Hannah on more projects in our house.

> Hannah help us turn our tiny bathroom into a beautiful water closest. She worked with our direction, found wonderful tile, beautiful fixtures and all the tiny touches I would never have thought of that made the room perfect. The most amazing part is she did all in our budget. She made suggestion but followed our desires, pushed us just the right amount to think bigger than ourselves and I have never been happier. She managed the buys, managed the vendors and did an exceptional job all around. She was always available to us and responded to all our questions and concern quickly.

> I not have a bathroom that outshine the rest of my house, I will definitely be hiring her again to bring the rest of the place up to snuff. Go and see it here: http://www.houzz.com/projects/1202608/mt-airy-industrial-trad-bathroom

> Initially I hired Hannah Dee to advise in the selection of paint colors and bathroom tile, for a project for which I had already finalized most of the plans. The project consisted of the rehab of an existing master bath, reconfiguration of a powder room, conversion of a closet space to a mudroom, and installation of new exterior door, light fixtures, and siding.
>
> Her color selection process is quite fascinating: she travels with a caseload of oversized paint samples. She makes color selection alongside the surrounding furnishings, and in the space and lighting that the new color will be used. I was very pleased with the final color selections made. For the bathroom wall tile, I wanted a color, other than white, that would “stand” over time. Beyond that I was incapable of making a selection. She accompanied me to the tile store and helped me to choose from among the many choices available, tiles that fit in nicely with my larger vision for the room. Overall, I found working with Hannah to be a very positive experience.
>
> The one change I would make would be to bring her in earlier in the planning process. Although I viewed many of the decisions as having been made before I hired her, as the project progressed, she served as a valuable sounding board on fixtures, materials, and larger design and quality issues. This was so much so – that I revisited some of the decisions that I had made in advance. She was committed to the success of the entire project, and made a couple of “emergency” visits – to consult on things had not turned out as I had originally planned. In each case, the unexpected results were for selections or decisions that I had “finalized” before I hired her. And in each case, she provided valuable input that improved the final project.

> We found Hannah through this site, and it was in the nick of time! We were having our Victorian home painted. I was overwhelmed with how to choose a new color for the exterior. Hannah came to our rescue with a method to narrow down our options to several color combinations. She had an amazing knowledge of colors available from several of the paint companies. I feel like she had those color fan decks memorized! She was incredibly patient and had reasonable fees. Our family and our neighbors are all very happy with the colors of our house. It has a bit of class and a bit of spunk.... An accurate reflection of Hannah and us! Thank you!!!

> After 12 years in our home, we decided it was time for our dream kitchen. We hired Hannah Dee for design guidance and couldn't be happier. This was a major renovation - knocking down walls, adding windows and basically rebuilding everything from scratch.
>
> Hannah helped us every step of the way, and was sensitive to our needs. Her sense of color, texture and balance delivered a beautiful result. We highly recommned her.

> I hired Hannah as a color consultation to help me pick paint colors for the house I recently bought. I immediately liked her from our initial conversation. She was very clear about the consultation process, her fees, and and she answered all of my questions. She had a very flexible schedule which made meeting with her easy. Hannah comes prepared! She has thousands of color swatches but she listened to my vision and didn't try to overwhelm me with choices. She also bought big swatches (legal size) so it was easy for me to visualize the colors on the wall. Throughout the process she educated me not only about paint, but lightening and color flow as well. She wasn't pushy, but I valued her opinion when she didn't agree with a choice. We were able to pick six colors in a little under two hours, which was great for my budget! When we decided to paint another room and the trim, she came back and when one of the colors that I chose didn't work out, she was more than happy to come back and meet with me to pick a better color. She had great energy and was a pleasure to work with. Overall, we were 100% happy with how the color choices and painting turned out! I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for color consultation services!

**Comment from Hannah Dee Interiors:**

> Thank you so much for these lovely words! Congrats on your new house and I hope you're all moved in and getting stuff organized!

The result, about 6 more inches of space, which in a teeny bath can mean a whole heck of a lot! A bit rough/luxe, this classic black and white marble and ceramic bath leans to the industrial side, with it's blue-gray accents, mix of metals and industrial lighting.

It was truly collaborative, with some of the best parts done by them! The green and black floor was on their wish list, and was the inspiration for the whole space.
