Boy was that the right decision! She came up with some gorgeous ideas for interspersing dark and lighter cabinetry - which no one else had thought of in hours and hours of discussions - making the kitchen totally stand out from standard designs. She presented me with several options for the rest of the finishes as well as furniture (new kitchen table), which crossed the spectrum as far as price was concerned. She also met my very stringent requirement that the finish on the kitchen table not be easily ruined through day to day family use, as well as fit our space and current (oversized!) kitchen chairs. She was able to read my preferences and budget needs and guide my decisionmaking so that we came up with a beautiful result. But it lacked our clients' personality and style that reflected their Southern roots and love of coastal settings. We incorporated elements like wallpaper, paint and furnishings without having to remodel, which made a huge transformation for this home and family of six. The aesthetic direction was warm and welcoming, yet grand, and infused with accents of Napa Valley-inspired elements the homeowners requested. The primary bedroom features a steel-and-wood four-poster bed set against a stone feature wall and timbered tray ceiling.
