This room serves as an office, playroom for our son, and guest room. I feel like the art I have above it is not cohesive with the rest of the room. Any feedback or suggestions welcome! A: Another idea would be to grab some tape and two fun colors of paint to paint wide horizontal stripes on the wall behind the sofa. A fun and inexpensive idea to accent a wall. A: Are Pott Lighting Fixtures available in the USA? **Q: Need help coordinating this furniture with an area rug and art work** *(in Design Dilemma)* I need an area rug and I want to change the art behind the sofa. Budget $400.00 Any Suggestions? A: Hi Simeon, I have a couple suggestions. It looks like all of your furniture matches in style. Perhaps you could find some neat funky side tables and paint them white or a color. You may also want to consider changing out the base of the cocktail table too. If you wanted to change the cocktail table, a rectangle would look good in your space too. For your artwork, I agree with the comment above that it could be a larger scale. This room looks like this may be a coastal home. So a framed vintage beach poster in a larger scale with nice bright colors would add some zip and interest in the room. I like the rug above but possibly the reverse side would have a little less purple.
