> Jerry has done projects for me for the last decade or more. His quality, attention to details, and ability to understand one's needs are the best! He is a one man show (aside from an assistant or 2 from time to time) which gives him a personal touch, which a large company rarely does. I have recommended him to several friends and business acquaintances, all of whom have been more than happy with his work.

> I have worked with Jerry Middleton for over a decade. He has custom made bookcases, desks, crates and media storage units for me. He is simply the best. Smart, a great problem solver, reasonably priced and a genuinely lovely person to work with. I cannot recommend Jerry highly enough!

> Jerry of Wood Essentials crafted a beautiful solid wood bookcase that covered a complete wall. It is beautiful and it's held up beautifully. Jerry has creative ideas and his work is perfection.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Wall Hump** *(in Other)*

The contractor finished up our bathroom remodeling and this is the outside wall (in the living room.) There's a giant hump running down the height of the wall where the old wall on the right and the new wall on the left meet. When I asked him about sanding it down some more he said 'nope, that's just the way it's going to have to be.' Is this acceptable, or is he trying to get out of fixing it? is there anything that can be done to hide this?

A: A good contractor would have anticipated this problem, if not at the very start of the project then at least at a pretty early point. He should have discussed it with you, letting you know that there would be some (perhaps significant) expense in getting it right.
It's impossible for the rest of us to know how this situation evolved. Did you take the lowest bidder?
Most contractors I know don't like to leave ugly eyesores behind on their work. They want to do good work and have happy clients. Sometimes even the best tradesmen feel they are getting paid only enough to do the quickest and dirtiest job possible and they won't spend a minute longer than they have to on a job. You need to be honest with yourself. Was the fee charged adequate for a first class job or no?

**Q: Where do you find & buy Fine Art?** *(in Polls)*

A: Ebay

**Q: ladder** *(in Photo Questions)*

where could I find a ladder like that. I have been lookin everywhere :-(

A: Look for a welder in your local Yellow Pages. Or find an artist/sculptor who works in metal.

**Q: Medicine cabinet dilemma** *(in Bathrooms)*

Trying to finalize plans for guest bathroom but can't figure out how to get a medicine cabinet in there.
Will have an 80" vanity with double sinks. Wall on one side, other side open. Unfortunately the wall side has plumbing for the shower so I don't think they can get a recessed medicine cabinet there.
Does it look weird to put a 30 in recessed medicine cabinet above each sink? Contractor looked at me funny when I suggested that. Thought I should just hang one large mirror.
I don't think the bathroom would be functional without a medicine cabinet. Drawers just won't cut it for toothbrushes, pills etc Guests may include small children who need things stowed up high and out of their reach.
Any ideas?? Please show me!!! I'm clueless.

A: Everyone please pardon my presumption. . . I make a medicine cabinet which would be perfect for your situation. Handmade in Brooklyn, NY. We ship via UPS all over the country.

**Q: Buying a Medicine Cabinet** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Where can I physically buy a medicine cabinet. I live by NYC and a looking for a reasonably priced medicine cabinet and do not want to purchase this item online. Any suggestions?

A: It's been a while since you posted your question but did you ever get yourself a medicine cabinet?? We are a specialty medicine cabinet maker and our shop is in Brooklyn. Get in touch if you'd like to visit.

**Q: Where could I find a similar medicine cabinet?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We make them! Please visit our website: www.woodessentials.com or call us at 212 717 1112. Thanks.
