> Working with Savannah Construction was a dream come true!  My first meeting with Savannah was January, 2016, as we were interested in buying a new home that Savannah was in the process of building in Bellaire with customization options.  While we did not change the floor plan of the home we were able to customize almost every single aspect of the fixtures and interior from cabinets, to floors, to counters (even knobs & pulls, tiles, you name it)!  From the minute I met Karla Nieves and her family I knew we had found the right builder.  Karla is extremely honest, detail-oriented, kind, patient, accessible, responsive, and caring.  One of my favorite aspects of working with Savannah was that the company is truly a family-run operation, and that ultimately made us feel like part of the Savannah family too.  Karla and her staff care deeply about top-quality construction and client satisfaction.  Her husband Paul Nieves once told me that they treat the construction of every home as if it were their own, and it’s true!  We had a few drainage issues on our lot after moving in at the beginning of July, 2016, and Savannah worked tirelessly to make sure everything was properly resolved in a timely fashion.  Most builders are very hard to find once they receive their final payment, but it was the complete opposite with Savannah.  They worked just as hard, if not harder, AFTER we moved into to make sure our home was 100% perfect.  Karla has a terrific eye for design which saved us a ton of money in terms of making fixture selections, something I am very thankful for!  Savannah was also very patient with installing fixtures that weren’t necessarily common options (Nest thermostats, a custom mailbox, a built-in wall safe, and a Ring doorbell - just to name a few).  I simply can’t finish out this review without mentioning Savannah’s construction supervisor (or foreman/woman) Cristina Hernandez, who is equally as heavenly to work with.  Cristina’s job was to make sure all of the sub-contractors worked seamlessly together with respect to installing fixtures and finishing out construction.   Her ability to manage so many moving parts at once (and with such a spectacular attitude) truly amazed me.  She was attentive to all of our concerns (even things as trivial as microscopically chipped tiles), and handled everything with extreme grace.  She still checks in to make sure the home is absolutely the way we like it!  How many other builders can say that about any of their staff?  The bottom line is that everyone at Savannah profoundly cares about their clients and the homes they build.  It’s a lifetime relationship that we are eternally thankful for!

> We hired Savannah Construction/Remodeling/Karla and Paul Nieves to remodel our master bath and closet area shortly after we bought this home. We knew it would be a home remodeler's nightmare because of the unconventional construction the former owner had left in place. The bid and plan that Karla gave us was the most thorough and practical of the three we obtained. The demolition process was painstaking for them because the area had to be taken apart piece by piece to  determine the load bearing walls, not to mention untangling the utilities. They were careful to salvage as much of the material as possible to reuse during the remodel phase. We were amazed at the expertise and patience of Savannah in the face of such a project, but they persevered and got to the point where they could begin the new plan.  Mike, the foreman of the project, worked closely with us down to the finest detail. Each trade worked so well together in a timely fashion. We are extremely satisfied with the beautiful end result! > Savannah Homes built our home and every person that enters gasps at the unique features.  I highly recommend them.  The floor plans are spacious and functional.  The team is easy to work with and respectful.  Their prices are competitive.  I have updated a few features in my home and they finish the jobs quickly and with beautiful craftmanship.  The workers are so trustworthy that I feel comfortable leaving them in my house alone and know that everything will be taken care of.  If there are questions,  they call my cell phone before proceeding.  For example, I exchanged the wooden baseboards for marble to match the floor and they found they needed the marble to be 2 inches higher than originally planned.  They called to approve this with me before they did it.  I really appreciated that they included me in every detail of the work.

**Q: Love the chairs.  Where can I purchase?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Karen!  Sorry for the delayed response.  We used a staging company and I have not had any luck with anyone tracking the chairs down.  I did go online and the closest match I could find is linked here:

**Q: Painted kitchen cabinets** *(in Before & After)*

I had great success painting my old, grungy kitchen cabinets. I used the existing counter top to pick the paint colour and I think the cabinets make the counter top look better too! I used rustoleum cabinet transformations without the glaze because I really like the look of the wood grain coming through. The drawers have original hardware but I spray painted them and the door knobs are new. Let me know what you think!

A: Fantastic job!  The new color makes even the floors look new!  Simple inexpensive way to get a "new kitchen". I am impressed, thanks for sharing.
