At the time of writing I am over 15 months into a home addition project. The entire experience is characterized by mismanagement, negligence, and SIGNIFICANT delays. Paul Ufford, owner, mismanaged our money, there were liens placed on our house because of unpaid bills to subs even though we'd paid Paul for that work. His delays and mismangement of our money has forced us to empty our savings, take on additional debt to get the project finished, and has put our bank loan in jeopardy because we are now past the hard project deadline. By our estimates Paul owes us TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars. Paul was a terrible communicator throughout the project, did not get the work done and his proposed solution to challenges seemed primarily to be to wait and hope it would work itself out. Paul seems to have used our money for other projects or debts, and has caused significant emotional toll. In the 8 weeks since we stopped working with Paul, we ourselves have achieved more than Paul - a paid contractor - achieved in 6-8 months. Save your money and do not work with Paul Ufford. **★ — Rachel Lazar, March 2022** > DO NOT USE!! Our dream home build destroyed by Paul/Sawhorse, resulting in failed inspections, a lien on our home for unpaid materials that we paid him for, and ultimately the need for an attorney many months after we terminated him mid-project and went with another builder.
