Terry’s vast knowledge of incorporating antique building materials in his homes sets him apart. **Q: Please help. Need backsplash advice** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Cabinets are natural maple, hardwood floors medium brown with touch of red in them.  The counter top is titanium granite has lots of silver, gold and copper, Crystal white in it. 
I choose the copper mosaic backsplash a couple of years ago. That was a mistake. I live in the Pacific Northwest lots of rain in fall and winter, the backsplash reads as brown and very dark.
Do not like mosaic would like a simple subway like tile.
would like a little color, what do you think of the red or orange family's? 
I am open to to any suggestions.

A: Have you thought of a mirrored tile, something like Charleston Mirror from Artistic Tile? You could purchase this from www.kbcottage.com in Shreveport.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. This was a reclaimed new Orleans soft red. You can talk to my brick supplier, Vintage Brick and they can find something similar.

We are in the process of designing an entirely new home, as our previous home was destroyed by massive house fire last month.  I am hesitant to use any kind of wood type flooring in the entry, kitchen, laundry and mudroom areas. This brick floor just hit me as being the perfect match. If you'd be willing to share the manufacturer name, and grout type...I'd be most grateful. Thank you!

A: It is reclaimed brick. You would need to find a brick salvage company.
