I think standard move would be Location A for both bathrooms, along the wall. But, given the configuration the bathrooms, I wonder it might make more sense to place the hinge in location B (i.e. hinged against the fixed glass panel). I would appreciate suggestions! p.s. no need to comment on other aspects of the bathroom designs as these plans do not fully reflect what will be in place (e.g., the floor 2 vanity will be wider; the floor 3 toilet will be rotated 90 degrees) A: I prefer hinged to sliders to answer your question. As long as I can open the door and comfortably reach the valves, I like it. **Q: can quartzites counter top be recut?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I don’t like the way there is a square overhang I would prefer the arc/arch have continued A: Yes you can **Q: Backsplash near door frame- help!** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hello, so currently the backsplash tile is installed all the way to the doorframe. It has three ending points, counter, uppers and tile. It looks unfinished and like a mistake. How do I correct it? I was thinking of running the tile up and down the wall. But since it's a colored tile, will this look awkward? Alternatively we could cut the tile to be in line with uppers. The upper and lowers line up, and then it's just the counter overhang that extends. Have the same problem on wall with white tiles but I'm not as bothered by this one since the space is smaller and with blend more with the wall color..... Thoughts? Suggestions? Thank you!! A: Remind me not to work with Jan! Haha.. I have seen people religiously follow the counter as Jan suggests is THE ONLY WAY to do this. I have seen this look good and I have seen this look terrible. I think there is a little gray area here. In this instance I think following the upper cabinet is cleaner. Paint it the same color **Q: Help with wall gap** *(in Design Dilemma)* I diy tiled a half wall that will mostly be hidden by a vanity. The top three rows will show. I didn’t realize the wall was so bowed inward on the left. The gap is a tiny bit larger then 1/4”. Any suggestions on how to make this look decent? A fat caulk fill will probably look way off from the perfect right side. Thank you in advance. A: I'm guessing those are full tiles at the left side making new longer cuts impossible?
