> Without getting too wordy and writing a novel on how bad my experience was with JCB Builders, here is the slimmed down version. It took JCB 16 months to build our home instead of the 4-6 that he represented to us. To list all of the mistakes, roof leaks, and confrontations  would take too long. In a nut shell, by the time we were down to final punch items ( And there were a lot) at the end he basically wouldn’t acknowledge them and wanted paymen in full. In order to avoid a long drawn out lawsuit and have these people out of our lives we paid this person. Then we paid another local home remodeler another $15,000 to finish our house so that we could move in. And since then we’ve discovered one of the can lights in our master bedroom is out of alignment with the other three by a whole stud width. There is a crack in the ceiling of our master bath where someone stepped  on the Sheetrock at some point. OH and today only three years after the House was roofed and we’ve only been living in it for approx 1.5 years, I just paid another roofer another $2000 dollars to come tear out rotten wood all around our chimney and repair our roof. It was improperly flashed around the fireplace, the shingles weren’t overlapped enough, and there’ were nails that didn’t go in far enough allowing water under the shingles. Also had to cut out moldy foam insulation and reinsulate. And while up there I discovered my brick chimney stack is falling apart!!!!!!!!  Did JCB respond to any of the texts or emails about the issue? NO!
> We’ve spent a large amount of money on this “Dream Home” and we resent it every day because there are all thiese things that serve as a constant reminder of our crappy experiences and poor quality. Like every morning I wake up and see two can lights 18” off from one another staring back at me like a googley eyed muppet character. This 1 Star rating is too generous of a review, but 0 stars wasn’t an option.
