> I've been living in a murphy home for years now. Excited to one day upgrade to my next one!

**★ — Miss Shea, Dec. 2025**

> Poor quality material and even worse workmanship. Charlie Murphy and team have no intention of honoring their warranty. Charlie, Clay, Trent and the warranty team will give you the run around hoping you give up. I have a major structural issue that will get worse over the coming months. Charlie Murphy and team has decided to ignore my demand letters. Never will I buy another Murphy home, nor will I recommend anyone to buy Murphy.

> Murphy Home will try and make you close even if the house is not completed. When I say not completed I mean master tub not installed, stones on front of columns not there, no mail box( yes you read that right no mail box). Missing kitchen cabinets. They will tell you they do not have to have your house complete to make you close. Think hard before you use them. This is currently a situation someone I am close to is going through. This house been being build for 14 months.

> I have held off writing this review for a while allowing items to be addressed as they are not unfixable issues.
>
> But after they blocked my main account on Facebook, decided to post this now. That is completely unacceptable to block someone because they may give a negative, but completely honest, review.

>
> I am less than satisfied with the the overall build process. While there have not been any major "everything is falling apart" issues yet, there's been a large number of shoddy work items. In addition, the construction manager takes no responsibility when something is not done properly and takes the attitude (and I quote) "well, what do you want me to do about it"...that is a horrible attitude when someone brings a concern up that something isn't done right.
>
> The bad:
> \- Bad outlet cutous with some over 1/8" gaps in drywall around outlets and free floating ears (not compliant with NEC 312.4 and also annoyed that the home inspector didn't check this :( ). Drywall mud was used to attempt to repair some, but this is not sufficient for large gaps and easily breaks away just using the outlet normally. So bad cutout and improper fixes were done when really some sort of support needs to be in place.
>
> \- Stove ordered was no longer available, rather than contacting us to see if we wanted to do something different, a different model was used in addition to a too large cutout in the cabinets. The new model has no overhang and calls for 30" cutout (it is 29 7/8" with guaranteed 30" fit) but they cut out ~30 1/8" up to 30 1/4" causing a big gap between stove and counter granite.
>
> Builder should have at least called to see if we wanted a different stove model. I definitely would not have picked this one and gone with something else instead. So now have a stove I didn't really want and will have to save up to replace with a cook top later and wall mount oven (would have been my next choice if someone had told us the model we ordered wasn't available anymore).
>
> \- Vent hood was also the wrong model when we first got the house. Had to wait to get the right model and then when it was installed they damaged the cabinets and used a screw straight into drywall with no anchor.
>
> \- Vent hood was externally vented, manager told us it was sealed to the attic with a fire plate (couldn't see up there due to wood in way). We trusted him to have checked, but after moving in realized it was not sealed (got a camera up there). Running the hood for a few minutes cooking caused all this insulation to fall through into the cabinet above.
>
> \- Ceiling drywall seams are super noticable and not done well. For an open floor plan with a lot of wide open visible ceiling and lighting highlighting the bumps/joints I would have expected a higher level finish.
>
> \- Got built-in shelves which the top had large gaps and really poor quality. Manager tried to say this was 'good'. Only after our realtor talked to them did they correct it in any way.
>
> \- They installed cheaper Cat5 instead of the Cat6. This had to be corrected. Nobody from builder checked this.
>
> \- Business blocked my Facebook so I can't leave a review there on my main account. They knew I have not been pleased with everything but also held any reviews giving them time to address the issues. This drops them to 1 star. That is completely unacceptable to avoid a possible negative review and block customers.
