We contacted Andy Smith who was recommended by a friend, and from the first time Andy met with us to discuss our vision for the tile work he was a pleasure to work with, and very helpful with suggestions as to the best way to proceed. We chose the tile we wanted, and then Andy worked with us to design a combination of sizes or additional accent pieces to complement the tile we had chosen. In the large, open style kitchen Andy worked with a variety of different size tiles from very large ones to much smaller ones and he then set them in a very interesting and pleasing way. Likewise in the master bath, Andy helped us choose the accent trims for the shower and bath, and the right mix of large tiles on the floor and smaller ones inside the shower and around the bath. He also set the tiles in the foyer, mud room and hall, and worked carefully to make sure where two different tiles met or where the ceramic tiles met with the wood floors that the transition was flawless and pleasing. Andy Smith is a master at his craft. > Also, Andy was always a pleasure to have in the house as he worked tirelessly and quietly all day without the “boom box” accompaniment that so many contractors bring with them. The finished product is incredible, and we can say with all honesty that everyone who comes to our home comments on the tile floors, and the absolutely stunning master bath.
