She helped with all interior finishes: every single thing that went into the bathrooms and kitchen (hardware, tile, plumbing fixtures, towel holders, etc.). She helped design the extensive built in cabinetry for the kitchen, great room, bedrooms, upper hall and all the bathrooms. These designs were unique and she worked through the process and every revision with the cabinet maker to get it exactly right. She helped design me an incredible huge, mirrored medicine cabinet with built in interior outlets to store electric toothbrushes inside (this bring me pleasure every single day). She helped choose every light fixture to maximize style but also effective light. She helped with beautiful closet organization that was better (in my opinion) and far cheaper than something like California Closets. And when the building was done, she then helped with all the interior decor including furniture, wall paper, paint colors, rugs, lamps, throw pillows, art, bedding, towels, you name it. As you can see, building a new home requires thousands of decisions! > > The result is a house that gets oohs and aahs from everyone who enters. I still can't believe I live somewhere that looks like a magazine. Heidi has amazing style. Her eye for color is incredible and her taste is impeccable. It was important to us that our house not look and feel like a catalog. Although we prefer modern design, we also did not want something too cold or minimalist. We are also incredibly picky. Heidi knew exactly how to interpret what we wanted and also discovered new things that would make our look more elevated and refined. She was able to give us what we wanted but also help us want what we didn’t know before. I had never worked with a designer before (nor had I ever built a house) and I had no idea how incredibly overwhelming it would be. The array of choices and decisions was paralyzing. Heidi was able to create a thematic vision of the home that was reflected in every choice. It makes such a difference to a home when it is designed in this unified way rather than a haphazard selection of what you think you like.
