**★★★★★ — Jonathan Newman, May 2024**

> Allison did an amazing job with my condo - she made the space look and feel like the home I wanted. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer!

**★★★★★ — Megan Mitchell, March 2024**

> We used Kaleidoscope to redesign the main floor and the bonus room of our new house. We wanted to created a space that was more functional and organized, relaxing but also visually intriguing. We didn’t really know what our ‘style’ was. We knew we needed a lot of closed storage to hide all the kids toys and we wanted something that we’d still like in 5 years’ time. Trendy but timeless, high-end look but on a budget. Not an easy feat to accomplish. Kaleidoscope understood our needs from the beginning and was able to identify what style worked for us, something that fit our aesthetic style and our functional needs for our family.
>
> Our main floor now feels open and spacious, but also cozy and organized. And our bonus room was transformed from an unused, forgotten space to a dual office that is used everyday. One of the things we appreciated the most was Kaleidoscope’s expertise on where and what to invest in. Identifying the pieces that would make the space feel elevated and we should spend the money on, and which items we didn’t need to. How everything came together was something we couldn’t have come close to achieving on our own.
>
> Kaleidoscope provided options that all worked for us and within our budget. It was a pressure free environment and we will definitely be using them again for our next project.

**★★★★★ — Heather McDonald, Nov. 2023**

> It was a pleasure working with Allison when she took the reigns and helped us design our condo. My husband and I have different tastes and she pulled together our preferences perfectly! She helped us do the on-the-ground installations. The picture boards she presented were exactly representative of the final product. We would highly recommend Allison and Kaleidoscope Design!

> We used Kaleidoscope to finish our home renovations which included purchasing furniture and carpets as well as finishing the design of our family room. Allie was professional and pleasant from first contact right through to the end. She took the time to understand what exactly was important to us and what our end goal was. She incorporated all of our requests into her designs and options and was quick to offer alternatives. She helped us problem solve a couple issues quickly and professionally. We could not be happier with our choice to work with Kaleidoscope and would recommend Allie and Kaleidoscope 100%.

**★★★★ — John Wren Medcof, Aug. 2023**

> The colors, materials and designs which Allison proposed are excellent. The outcome is elegant, warm and very much in alignment with my tastes. Tastes which Allison seems to have captured from our discussion on her first visit. Always cheerful, energetic and personable, we had a pleasant and effective working relationship. The financial, timing and other aspects of the contract were communicated clearly, professionally and in a very timely manner, setting the stage for that comfortable working relationship.

**★★★★★ — EJ, Sept. 2021**

> Allison's design skills and creativity translated directly into many thousands of dollars of savings, as we did not have to move just because our lifestyle needs changed. We are now happily living in a 1+ condo with a baby, with both parents working from home (saving probably $1,000 every month compared to where we thought we'd have to move). Everyone we spoke to thought we were nuts to stay, but that's why you hire a professional. I would highly recommend calling Allison before making any decisions (moving, renovations, or layout changes) because she will see things that normal people just won't. I'm in absolute awe at her ability to think outside the box and come up with design solutions that are as functional as they are pretty to look at. Her space planning ability is second-to-none, and she can source the right pieces to back it up.
>
> In this environment, it's important to find people who are willing to be bold and challenge norms - Allison pushed us to try new things and we are so glad we worked with her. Brilliant design!

**★★★★★ — HU-446223813, July 2021**

> What attracted us to Allie's design expertise is that she wasn't cookie-cutter. Most designers push a modern agenda, creating an unrealistic living space. Allie was different, in a good way. She worked with our style, drawing in contemporary elements, but realizing it was a family space that needed to be lived in. She transformed our space into a true family home - warm, traditional, yet current. She designed a space we could be proud of, build onto and grow into. She is a consummate professional and very meticulous. We are forever grateful for her counsel.

**★★★★★ — Natasha Faucher, June 2021**

> Allison provided a very tailored design for our main floor which incorporated some of our existing furniture. She ensured every individual piece had a purpose and fit with the overall design. She worked with our style and she was even able to find alternatives when we weren't in love with a particular piece of furniture. Allison is very professional and takes prides in her work.

**★★★★★ — thera\_medcof, March 2021**

> We highly recommend Kaleidoscope Design Studio. Allison worked with us on accessorizing our condo, we wanted her help in pulling together a finished look. We love the look she created, it perfectly reflects our style and works with our space.
>
> Allison's advice / design was excellent. Working with the furniture and decor we had, and working within our budget, she pulled together a design that we truly enjoy everyday and that we get compliments on from visitors. We love the colours, textures and artwork she recommended. We appreciate that her design included features that we never would have had the confidence to undertake on our own, including an amazing gallery wall for the bedroom, textured art in the living room and hanging shelves in the bathroom.
>
> Allison is a talented designer who her knows her stuff, and she is also very professional and pleasant. She developed a clear contract for working with us, which was good for setting expectations. She provided detailed floor plans and plans for hanging art work, etc. She is organized, responsive to questions, and guided us as needed. I know that working with Allison has saved us money as her design recommendations work.

**★★★★★ — Steven Huynh, Feb. 2021**

> I reached out for interior design consultation for my downtown condo.
> Allison was incredible and exceeded my expectations. She immediately understood my creative direction and complimented my vision with professional touches.
> I constantly get compliments on my bedroom and I have Allison to thank for that!

**★★★★★ — Eric Freeman, Dec. 2020**

> Incredibly creative and good value.
> My wife and I live in a small rented condo. Allison was able to completely re-conceptualize how we used the space, add a ton of storage (always lacking in a rental unit!), and turn it from a space for busy young professionals into a home for a small family. Her creative use of space sets her apart from other designers I've used. Allison can envision things that would never occur to me - and they work!

**★★★★★ — Lenny Freilich, June 2020**

> Very creative - able to see beyond the "usual" solutions and come up with a good design for a space that was hard to work with!

  - Description: This rental condo needed an update and refresh after the tenants’ style and needs evolved. The young professional couple had been living in the space for almost ten years and had gone through a series of career and lifestyle changes, including the arrival of their first child. By taking full advantage of vertical space and clever multi-purpose storage, this 650 sq.ft., 1 bedroom-plus-den condo now includes a large pantry (complete with freezer), space for a home office, lots of storage, and a fu…

  - Location: Toronto, ON

  - Description: This monochromatic condo was inspired by the homeowner’s love of peacocks. We layered in blues and teals to bring the vision to life. The textures add just the right amount of interest to the space, while still allowing the palette to be the focal point. Mixing in natural elements and touches of gold throughout help tie the space together. This is a home that is comfortable enough to relax in and kick your feet up, but looks and feels beautifully pulled together. The end result is a budget-frien…

  - Description: Simple doesn’t have to be boring, especially when your backyard is a lush ravine. This was the name of the game when it came to this traditional cottage-style house, with a contemporary flare. Emphasizing the great bones of the house with a simple pallet and contrasting trim helps to accentuate the high ceilings and classic mouldings, While adding saturated colours, and bold graphic wall murals brings lots of character to the house. This growing family now has the perfectly layered home, with pl…

  - Description: Instead of bringing the outdoors in, this sun room brings the indoors out. A large sectional sofa, comfy chairs, and lots of pillows create the perfect place to lounge with a good book or play board games with friends during the warm summer days. A classic wood table and chairs add a touch of a rustic feeling while making the sun room the perfect place for family to gather for a meal. This outdoor room is now the number one spot in the house.

  - Description: This simple and elegant master bedroom combines modern style with touches of refined traditional elements to create the perfect contemporary retreat for these busy parents of three. Oodles of storage, bold colourful prints, paired with classic tonal whites throughout make this a beautifully functional master bedroom. The low-profile modern bedframe allows the king size bed to feel inviting, but without overpowering the space, while the large drapery panels add interest, soften the angular hard e…

  - Description: Form follows function in this classically designed master ensuite, with lots of utilitarian storage, complemented with delicate details. This once leaky builder basic bathroom, transformed into a bright and beautiful oasis. Taking cues from the home (filled with precious antiques), we brought new life to the bathroom with vintage inspired elements – which can be seen in the detail of the wood vanity, and the soft cloud prints. Large scale, bright white tiles paired with teal glass tiles in the s…

  - Location: Toronto, ON
  - Photos: 11
  - Description: This small rental condo was just one open space that needed to serve multiple purposes and have many dimensions to it. Additional storage space was added to compensate for the lack of space in the kitchen, providing room for extra linens, supplies for their pet bunny, and an extra pantry. By infusing the space with family heirlooms and warm wood tones, we were able to accomplish the perfect contemporary design sought by this young professional couple.

  - Location: Toronto, ON

  - Description: This St. Lawrence Market condo was designed for a retired couple starting a new chapter of their lives, filled with travel and time with their growing family. By re-conceptualizing the assigned areas of the condo we were able to provide a large dining area for family dinners and a lounge area for relaxing located where the dining area would typically be. It was all tied together with a warm contemporary design with modern accents.

  - Description: Country chic was the design inspiration for this main floor of a large country home, but we infused lots of modern city comforts. We took inspiration from the natural surroundings, and chose not to use any window treatments to really show off the beautiful view that surrounds the house. Repurposing many of the homeowners’ existing furniture pieces by having them reupholstered or re-stained, and supplementing with some additional pieces we were able to make this main floor feel comfortable for th…

  - Description: This large basement space needed to have lots of functions to suit the needs of the whole family. With such a large space to work with, we were able to create a spacious lounge area perfect for snuggling up as a whole family to watch TV, an office area, and a place to curl up by the fire on chilly winter days. A warm colour pallet brings everything together, while still allowing the custom brick surround of the wood stove to be the focal point of this space. The end result was the perfect space…

  - Description: This master bedroom is the definition of a tranquil retreat. Subtle floral wallpaper, lamps that mimic tree branches, and lots of natural materials and textures including alpaca fur accent pillows, a sisal area rug, and lots of wood finishes found throughout the space help bring the natural beauty of the outdoors into this peaceful master bedroom. Positioning everything around the large focal windows allows the homeowners to experience the gorgeous sunrises every morning.

  - Description: This vacation home for a retired couple was designed to be their little piece of paradise. They wanted something different that reflected the picturesque location in Palm Springs, California. In order to make the view the focal point, the house was furnished in neutrals, and accented with the same warm desert tones visible from their front door. The end result is a very simple, clean design with punches of vibrant colour, reflecting comfortable living to go perfectly with their new relaxed lifes…

  - Description: The clients wanted a vibrant space that reflected the desert location of the home. They had a difficult time deciding where to place furniture, since the room was the centre of the home and could be seen from almost every other room in the house. We created a custom built-in unit to mirror the existing design of the kitchen to tie the two spaces together. By placing pieces pulled away from the walls, using smart-designed furniture such as a drop leaf dining table as a console table, and placing…

  - Description: A family home that was starting to see its wear and tear after thirty years was given a little facelift after their three children had moved out. We wanted to keep the design true to the style of the home, and the taste of the homeowners, so we went with an updated traditional look. Carrying lots of rich cherry wood tones throughout the home in the hardwood floors and the new kitchen cabinetry, we were able to provide the traditional look and feel the homeowners were craving.
