So when Sofia arrived with her high energy "we can make this work" approach I was beyond skeptical.  In fact my husband and I  could not visualize her design concept until we saw it on paper  and even then, while she was executing, I was waiting for some sort of disappointment given my past experience with other contractors/vendors. However my husband and I were pleasantly surprised and ended up with an impressive finished product. Not only is it practical, but it also maximizes the space to fullest. ## Community Q&A

**Q: Paint Color/Decor for Dining Room?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

What should I do with my dining room? Paint? Furniture? Art? I'm keeping the table.  Lots of light comes into this room. I prefer neutral colors or pastal/pale colors. Any ideas?

A: I think it depends on the look you want. Also, more affordable would be just above the trim and paint below but it would be more modern to remove the trim across the middle and wall paper the entire wall. .

**Q: Paint Color for Kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just purchased a new home. The house needs many renos so our budget is tight. I'm hoping to re do the kitchen back splash tile and floor in the future but right now I'm just going to paint the walls. The counter tops are black,  floor is laminate and grey with beige mixing and the tile is pink/beige. The current paint is blue and it makes the tile look very pink. What color can I paint the walls so that the tile doesn't look so pink? Also, our kitchen walls extend into our hallway so the new paint color will be in  our porch and bathroom area as well.

A: I was also thinking a green to take attention away from the floor and give  it a midcentury look. I also like SW Sea Salt and also Comfort Gray and Coastal Plain
