Design + Build enterprises is a full-service general contracting, management and advisory firm. We recommend, implement and oversee programs customized to the owner’s vision, needs and expectations. As a virtual extension of you, we provide hands-on construction services, technical expertise, counsel and personalized attention as we oversee all phases of the construction process.

LEED certified with a specialty in building design & construction, Tambi Kat acts as project director and primary liaison for all clientele related business pertinent to the project, while assembling the team consisting of the project manager, carpenters and artisans, interior designer, technology & systems consultants, sub-contractors and specialty trades.

Tambi created DBe after years of working with architects, designers, engineers, development firms, builders and luxury retail companies. “We realized that the design and construction industries lacked a link between both disciplines as well as an understanding of the critical interdependence between each that is essentially non-existent on most project sites. Our company brings with it a certain intuition allowing it to uphold the architects and interior designers concepts & construction intent while working thru the complexities of various systems that continuously threaten the project altogether…”

**★★★★★ — otis gyory, Aug. 2018**

> DBE renovated my entire kitchen and bathroom, which included taking down a wall, moving sink and stove piping, installing all new appliances, building and refinishing floors, putting in multiple types of lights (pendants, undercabinet LEDs, ceiling, etc.), installing a quartzite countertop, building exquisite cabinets, painting virtually the entire apartment, and completely gutting and redoing my bathroom, which meant brand new shower, sink, toilet, floors, and tiles. The work is nothing short of spectacular. The design and workmanship are both outstanding. Stunning does not fully capture the beauty of this work. I just want to sit in my apartment and marvel at it all. Well done all around!

**Comment from DBe - Design Build Enterprises:**

> Thank you very much Mr. Gyory. Your satisfaction means a lot to us. (DBe team)

**★★★★★ — Glenn Greenberg, June 2017**

> I've had the pleasure of working with Design + Build Enterprises on a number of projects over the last several years. The owner and staff are all true professionals, who always insure that all the structural elements of the project are fully considered. I can rely on them to faithfully execute the structural design for a project. They build the right way, with properly constructed structures that will last.

**★★★★ — Adriaan Scholvinck, April 2017**

> DBe helped my wife and I gut renovate our brownstone by rebuilding walls and floors, plumbing, electrical, structural, and found us an architect.

**★★★★★ — williamsjan535, April 2017**

> Tambi and the team at DBE did a wonderful job renovating our brownstone In Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
> Great design, craftsmanship and project management. Definitely recommend

**★★★★★ — Alison McNamara, April 2017**

> My employer purchased a brown stone in Park Slope, Brooklyn that needed modernization and repair work. DBe was hired for a full townhouse renovation. They redesigned the current space and my employers are very satisfied with their work. They kept the original wood design of the house and restored them beautifully. After the house was complete, they provided a comprehensive house manual to maintain the space, which came in handy many times. When the side walk needed repair, the DBe team applied for the City permits quickly and was able to complete the entire job in less than a day. When the construction team ran into a problem with the neighbors, Tambi from DBe was out there to resolve the situation. My employer worked with Tambi directly and was highly satisfied by his and the entire DBe team's work and overall professionalism.

**★★★★ — Osiris Rodriguez, March 2017**

> DBe-design build is a solid choice for any renovation. They were reliable, responsible, and highly skilled. The lead carpenter was great with everything and would confirm ideas if any doubt existed to make sure that the design came through in the work.

**★★★★ — leharris5, March 2017**

> Tambi and his team did a great job building out our brownstone basement. We worked with them on a major project in our living space in 2013 and decided to hire them again for our basement. The work included converting our oil to gas and turning our unused, dungeon space into a bright and useable space (washer/dryer, safe storage and workout space). Tambi and his team (project managers and administrators), kept good communication with us throughout, explained any issues that arised and worked with us with unexpected hiccups. Overall, the final turned out very well and we are overall pleased with the work. We will definitely hire them again.

**★★★★ — Marilu Hartnett, March 2017**

> DBe-Design did a great job with the redesign of our ground floor entrance and staircase leading up to the first floor. The entrance way was made wider and more wheelchair accessible and the staircase was made to accommodate a stairglide chair. The thought and care that went into the planning and execution of this project has been enormously helpful to my husband who has a movement disability. He is now able to move through the ground and first floors easily. I highly recommend DBe Design as they were very professional, competent and kind throughout the whole process.

**★★★★★ — Kathryn Scott, Dec. 2016**

> I have relied on DBe as the contracting firm I can depend on every time with confidence. As a professional interior designer it is essential that my designs can be built as intended. People don't realize how critical this is! I have seen clients insist on using a friend or relative to handle their contracting work instead of the most appropriate choice only to watch them spend a lot of additional money and aggravation trying to fix the mistakes that arose. It is so important to avoid that situation if possible.
>
> DBe can handle the most detail design with excellence! I never have to worry about the quality or professionalism. Clients have always been comfortable working with them and delighted with their results.

**Comment from DBe - Design Build Enterprises:**

> Thanks again Kathryn for your honest and very professional review.
>
> It means a lot to us, as well as your partnership and professionalism.
>
> Sincerely,
>

A: Beautiful and elegant. And love the video!

**Q: Orange in the New Bath** *(in Before & After)*

For this guest bathroom remodel, the client REALLY wanted to (re)incorporate the color orange. We found this awesome orange-colored glass tile and found someone on Etsy who made custom tiles for pops of accent colors of our choosing.

Similar to the blue bathroom we just featured last week, we had to re-pour the concrete slab to create a curbless shower and we reconfigured the plumbing and waste lines in the process. We love it when our clients push to go bold. What do you think?

A: As might expected after seeing our logo, WE LOVE IT!!!

**Q: Full farmhouse renovation - befores/afters** *(in Before & After)*

It took one year to fully renovate our family's farmhouse that was built in 1920. We are the 6th generation to live in this house, which is situated on 80 acres of farmland. We are not fully done decorating and I have changed my mind on things a million times in the last 12 months. My main concerns are that the "farmhouse style" is a huge trend right now...will the house look out-of-date when the trend dies down, or will it still look classic since it IS actually a farmhouse? Also, what should I do for curtains/shades/blinds for each room? I'm at a loss because we need something that our 4 young children won't completely destroy. I'm not a decorator/designer so would love to hear what other people would do differently to make each space better! Our house has to be very kid friendly; no elements that can't withstand 3 boys and a newborn girl :)

A: Beautiful restoration! Did you also work on the exteriors?

**Q: Client's kitchen before and after** *(in Before & After)*

(sorry the second picture is blurry, saved from cell phone and downloaded funny)

A: Amazing transformation!!! Love it.
