"Form" allowed my creativity to flow -I provided the rep with an inspiration pic and they ran with it, presenting me with options that were exactly in alignment with what I wanted for the home. They mailed samples on time; they kept me routinely updated on the shipping process and also worked seamlessly during install to provide guidance to my builder. They are also readily available for ongoing projects and support-(replacement parts etc). When I started the kitchen remodel process, I went first with the American style, framed cabinets with a designer that was in the area. Other than the initial meeting everything was done remotely. There were tons of discrepancies in this process, which we avoided with the carefully planned system that Form Kitchens has in place. > > The wait for the cabinets is another story. I knew from the beginning that the kitchen was not functional and needed to figure out the best way to remodel it. Never having done a remodel project before I was intimidated by the thought of gutting a 125 year old kitchen. I knew I wanted a more sleek and modern design and liked the “Ikea Look”, but wanted something with a more custom and higher quality feel that would last a long time but that wouldn’t break the bank so to speak. Starting with an Internet search of “Modern Kitchen Cabinets” I went down the rabbit hole of various websites and manufacturers and Houzz and Pinterest etc. I knew I wanted a really dark navy blue cabinet which was proving difficult to find. One of the photos I came across happened to be a “Form Kitchen” advertisement photo. I immediately fell in love with the look and feel of it and the cabinets were the perfect color (Fjord Blue) with a really interesting gold recessed handle that broke up the sheer expanse of blue. Never having heard of Form I jumped on the website and started exploring. Not having actual brick and mortar stores gave me pause, as you never know what you are getting when buying strictly online. I then found out there was a “By Appointment Only” showroom close by in San Francisco, Ca and made an appointment to check out the cabinets in person. Visiting the showroom was a game changer! The Sales Representative, Marlon, was amazing. Knowledgeable, patient, engaging. He went through all of the various cabinet styles, and colors and accessories allowing me to test them out in the display kitchen, going through the pros and cons of each. The fact that we were the only ones in there and actually getting to see and feel the quality of the product was a huge selling factor for me. And the larger, deeper under counter drawers with another drawer within a drawer clinched it. I loved the look and knew I wanted Form. But that was just the 1st step. Next we were matched up our designer, Eva. From this point on everything was done online, via zoom and messaging. Eva was great from the beginning. While she knew everything about the product and accessories and options she really took the time to find out what it was that I wanted. How I actually "Lived" in the kitchen and how I would use the space. I knew I was going to have to take out 2 small walls leaving me with an 11’ by 12’ space. And I sent her my design inspirations, photos and mock ups of what I was hoping for with rough measurements etc. After a couple of discussions she sent back the Hyper-realistic Renderings which were basically my vision come to life in a full color 3 dimensional view. These were amazing and really brought everything to life. The next part was the nuts and bolts of creating the layout with back and forth detailed plans and drawings etc. Once I approved the final design the cabinets were ordered, delivered and installed.
