> Maria Killam has a system she uses, which may work for some people, but not all. It didn't work for me. I think she would do better to delve a little deeper into her clients' tastes and preferences before telling them what to do, especially considering her global reputation. Unsuspecting clients, such as myself, might not question her advice until they take it. At that point, it could be too late to realize the mistake that has been made.

> I used Maria's services to make decisions on the exterior of my house. We had so many confusions and so many ideas that we were not able to decide what to do and what would look good. She simplified the process for us and came up with a very simple and elegant way to deal with some not-so-beautiful elements on out house. Her advice does not involve getting complicated stuff done which is great. Her advice on windows, front door etc was very valuable. We will be following all of her recommendations. Her fees are very reasonable. Tricia is also very nice. The team is very responsive, ethical and pleasant. If you don't know where to start, start here. We were getting such complicated advices from architects and general contractors to tear things down and add things but I bet it all that would have ended up looking too kitschy. She not only tells you what will look good but also explains why. She also gives you different options so you can decide. If I ever do my interior I will use her services again!

> My only regret with the “Save Me From Myself” package I ordered was that I hadn’t done it sooner! I had already wasted money, time and effort buying the wrong things for my living room, thinking with enough online research I could pull it together on my own. I knew something wasn’t right but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I stumbled upon Maria’s blog, read her E-books, and thought I’d take a chance with her online design services. Maria and Tricia came to the rescue! They immediately saw what the room needed, and put together a design solution that included the “why’s” and even sample products and sourcing. I immediately knew it was the right direction, and followed their advice. No more returns! When I received two new lamps that I thought were too large, I sent a photo and they assured me the scale would be perfect as soon as the other elements were added. They were right again. I also ordered an online consult to pick a paint color for an adjacent room. I knew something was wrong with the existing color, but wasn’t sure what direction to go. I was skeptical they could pick a new color from digital photos, but they amazed me again, giving me three options, along with the why’s. I’ve decided not to waste any more time or money on wrong decisions. My living room is far from being done, but I already love it, and will rely on these expert women to help me finish it out whenever I get stuck. They are amazing!

> What neutral works in a space can be like finding a needle in a haystack and the color consult Maria provided did the trick!  We were in the midst of remodeling the first floor of our starter home.. a 1920's american four square (stuck in early 1960's decor) and wanted a neutral wall and white accent color that would work with our original wood trim and hopefully coordinated with our slip covered sofa. I had a few ideas, that I picked up by reading her extensive blog, but was not confident enough to go ahead.  I felt the cost was very reasonable considering the time and expense painting takes (and redoing it if you get it wrong!) and being online it fit in my schedule!  I filled out a questionnaire and took photos of things we had to work with (trim, flooring, sofa, the rooms nearby).  Within a short time our recommendations came back and we started to transform our space into the new century.  We sold the home recently and our realtor had seen the space before the changes.  He was amazed at the transformation.

Could you tell me what the brand and colour of the stone used on this project is?

Where is the sofa fabric from? Looks like a herringbone tweed. Beautiful room! Thank you for any help!

A: The pattern name is Orvis from Robert Allen, it comes in many different colours.
