You can look far and wide, but you won’t find a better architect and designer for your remodeling/building project. > > Last year we bought a mid-1970’s era house that hadn’t been updated in over 30 years. We saw a lot of potential in the house, but had no idea how to start the renovation process. So we first interviewed 4 well-known design-build firms in Atlanta. The results were disappointing – they all wanted to pigeon-hole us into renovation plans they felt comfortable with. When we pointed out things we wanted to change, they hemmed and hawed and finally said “well, maybe there’s something we could do with that, but it will be really expensive”. We were, frankly, shocked that these other companies had been running home renovation businesses for so many years and hadn’t developed the skills and flexibility to meet their customers’ needs. > > At the same time, we were also looking through Houzz, and Woody’s firm popped up. A new hallway, front porch and stone steps were required . The project included extending the existing electrical and plumbing systems, and a new heat-pump HVAC system to cover the new areas. The garage is fitted with fire-protection sprinklers.
