A: Hi Kamran, We did this several years ago; but as I recall with the custom railing and siding it came in at about $20,000. Also what color did you select or the backsplash. Thanks in advance! A: Hi, The countertop is a custom install by Old World Granite and Marble in Port Townsend WA. It is a granite counter. The backsplash is frosted green glass. I would have to do some digging to find the color and brand. Let me know if you'd like more info. Thanks, Jeff **Q: Construction details** *(in Photo Questions)* Does the shed utilize a rain-screen underneath the siding? Since this is an open joint siding, is there another drainage plane? We were thinking of using this type of siding as a feature on our house but there is a dearth of information regarding construction. The building inspectors here also want a secondary drainage plane since this siding detail offers minimal water shedding. Thanks A: Hi, Yes, there is a rain screen. The siding is spaced away from the wall which is wrapped with Vaporshield that provides a breathable, waterproof siding. The horizontal siding acts as a rain screen and UV light screen. There are several homes in my area that have used this method so it is passing inspection here. I would think an architect who designs modern style homes would be familiar with this method.
