The 2 industrial looking pendants are 12" high by 13" wide. They are solid metal & you cannot see through them. How high should the bottom of the fixture be off the top of the island?? I only have a choice of 30 or 36" ... which the 3 extending rods allow for installation. The island is 8-1/2' long x 36" high. I am only 5'3" and think it should be 30" from the countertop but that may interfere with the sight line of a taller person. Please advise. Its too tuscan and bland for my tastes. Our home was built in 2003 and has wood and stone elements in the Great Room and Kitchen. The floor plan is open. Our style is more transitional but traditional with our furnishings. I have attached pictures of the chandelier and the Great Room which is open to the foyer. Ceilings are 12 feet. The curved lines tie in with the curved framework at the top of your ceiling fan (assuming you plan to keep the fan) and ties in nicely with the wood/stone elements. Morrison Chandelier **Q: Mini pendants** *(in Photo Questions)* Hello, I have a craftsman home built in 1915 and updating my kitchen. Are those Chiserley oil-rubbed bronze mini pendants? I'm looking for this style with a white shade. What color are the shades of the pendants. Thank you. A: Those look more like our Chadwick Mini Pendants but the shade on the ORB finish has an amber shade. The Chiserley glass diffuser is is more angled/sloped than what is pictured. A: @celerygirl - nice find! :) **Q: My delimma starts again!!** *(in Design Dilemma)* Lets start with my entry/ foyer area. My style is totally contemporary/ glam kinds.. I cant decide what table should i go with,image 1 is the entrance of the house. And thats about the foyer area, and on the image 2 is my dinning room , and image 3 is the furniture for dinning room. My confusion here is, since my formal dinning area on the right is white , golds and black, ahead of foyer area my theme for living room is more whites with orange accents. So what color scheme should i be doing in foyer. Ideas with pics and reference of websites will be a great great help. P.S lets finish foyer as room 1 today, and i may need help with all other rooms as well. Thank you thank you. A: I think @susan2494 is on the right track - I like the idea of a half-round table. Something about the angle of the wall/walkway - a half round seems to flow better with the space. And white or black would be a good "neutral" to tie in the other spaces - then provide pops of color with accents. Here is a black half-round boutique table with mirrored top that may be an option at 31" wide. Regarding lighting - do you plan on keeping the fixture in the adjoining rooms?
