> I have worked with Paul on two separate projects. The first was a remodel of the living room, powder bath, and kitchen. The second was a renovation of our home office and master bath. Paul was communicative, timely, and professional. He has an excellent team. We had beautiful outcomes with Bjork Remodeling. If we need to do any further remodeling, we certainly would use Bjork Remodeling again!

He is prompt, responsive and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Bjork Remodeling for all of your remodeling needs!

> Great Value, High Quality Craftsmanship and Great Customer Service!!!!
> We found Bjork Remodeling when looking through the Houzz app. We were looking to add some storage space in our 15’ x 12’ study and wanted to have a built-in installed that combined some book shelves with cabinets for storage on the bottom. Paul Bjork came out and was able to help us formulate a concept that would look nice in our study as well as meet our functional needs. It is refreshing to have a contractor that takes such pride in the quality of his work and doesn’t try to cut corners to save a few bucks on the project. Paul went the extra mile to install high quality, self-closing hardware on all of the doors and drawers. We were able to visit his shop when we were picking out the trim for the built-in and he explained the quality of wood that he uses for his furniture. All of these little details cost a little more, but in the end we got what we paid for and more.
> We had a small budget and were able to get a high quality built-in for a reasonable price. We will be using Bjork Remodeling again and will be referring him to anyone and everyone that is looking to add some custom touches to their home. If you hire Paul Bjork for your next project, you will not be disappointed!

> Paul Bjork helped me design my dream office. He listened to my needs and desires and helped me come up with an amazing office within my budget. He gave great advise and ideas as we collectively created a design. Paul's work is incredible and his attention to detail is superb. Everyone who has seen my office is in awe of it. I can't imagine the design and workmanship being any better than it is. I am 200% happy with Paul's work and I would hire him again and highly recommend him to anyone.

> Excellant service and highest quality workmanship, prompt, courteous demeanor. Recommended to many of our friends. Master bedroom, game room, master bath, dining room, kitchen, living room, foyer, utilitilty room and associated bath room.

> Paul is an outstanding carpenter. His love for the craft reflects in the high quality of his work. He has a design portfolio of custom cabinetry, wall units, libraries, entertainment units, kitchens, shelving, closets and more that potential clients can review for ideas. And if he does not already have a picture or plan of it, he can build it from any other idea you may have.
> He uses top quality wood, varnishes, hardware and paint. We have used him several times for remodel and addition projects to our home over the years and every time we are delighted with the results. I have no hesitation in recommending him. Hard working, excellent quality and fair price - Paul Bjork!

> Paul is a top notch craftsman. He is clean, trustworthy and he does great work. Being an engineer by training, I am very picky and I have been satisfied by Paul's work. I've used him for furniture grade wood working, interior painting, complete room renovations and smaller projects. He has done at least 5 separate projects for us over the past 2.5 years. If you can get on his schedule, you will not be disappointed.

> Paul has remodeled our bathroom, kitchen, living room and den. His work is excellent. The cabinets are handmade with precision and detail. He listens to what you want and then draws a plan, but is ready to make any changes that you need. He recommends flooring, paint and accessories that are needed. He is very personable and trustworthy. I feel very comfortable leaving him a key so he can come and go when I am not around. My husband and I would recommend him with out hesitation. These different projects have been done over the past ten years and we continue to find new things that need his attention.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Love the layout. Can you share the dimensions of the desks and island?** *(in Photo Questions)*

How much space did you leave under the wall facing desks for legroom? how long from wall to end is the island/peninsula desktop?

A: Hi Julie
Sorry I am just getting back to you. Unfortunately I can not find the drawings for this project. I was hacked last year so I have a difficult time recovering files. I know the drawer cabinet on the end is 20" wide and the cabinet depth for the back wall lowers is also 20". I am thinking we left 28" to 30" width for leg space... so I believe the cabinet comes out approximately 70" from the back wall. I believe the lower cabinets to the left and right are 30" wide. Hope this helps.

**Q: Um could you do it without the frame, because it might be kind of obvi** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could you do it without the frame around it, because it might be kind of obvious that it is a door?!

A: There are other ways of doing this. When the cabinet is closed, it looks like a built in.

**Q: floating shelves** *(in Photo Questions)*

hi. do you install floating shelves onto dry wall?

A: The mirror was installed first and then I attached two cleats (wood strips) to the side of the walls. The shelf is designed to have a slot on each side so the it just slips over the cleats. Hope that makes sense.
paul

**Q: What is the shelf depth?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the depth of the shelves?

A: They are 12" deep.

**Q: Bottom wheels** *(in Photo Questions)*

Did you install tiny wheels at the bottom of door for easy movement?
Can you please email me plan ?
Many Thanks!

A: No wheels... the hinges are strong enough to hold the cabinet.

**Q: Hinge type** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi Paul, your answer to my ? Was very helpful and I thank you. If you don't mind I have one other ?,the 3" clearance needed was of course because of the diagonal was it also because of the hinge style used I'm assuming a 4-5"by2and1/2" heavy duty yet somewhat standard door hinge?thank you again for responding. If I haven't said beautiful job already BEAUTIFUL JOB! Thanks Michael O

A: Yes, I used standard door hinge. Don't remember if it was a 3-1/2" or the larger one. Key is definitely using four hinges. Good luck to you.
