Matt Breyer came to our home and spent enough time with us to learn what we wanted and share his portfolio of completed projects, all done with an eye for design and function. Digital drawings of our house and proposed deck followed shortly thereafter. We now have a beautiful deck and a corner pergola that he added last year. > It was a pleasure to have BREYER CONSTRUCTION & LANDSCAPE on site. Luckily had not left for work and was able to stop them. Pad for new shed was built in wrong place and new wood was just put on top of old wood. Old wood was supposed to have been removed before starting. To place concrete sidewalk removed way more topsoil of yard then was told. The day the fence arrived it was the wrong fence. Supposed to solid they delivered picket fence, once again lucky was at home. Had grass removed to put in river rocks. Was told chemical would be put on grass and then burnt so grass would be gone. Chemical applied but never burnt. Weed fabric installation was joke had to call back three times to have them come back. Still missed the same spots. Finally had to do ourselves. When doing the weed fabric discovered fence crew augered through drain pipe. Had river rocks deliverered for side and alley. Just dumped rocks in alley. What a mess. Project manager thought it was acceptable. Also had top of fence post crushed was told they would be back the next day to replace it and take care of topsoil in backyard and reseed. Did not see anyone for 3 weeks. When emailed the president he responded with a less than proffessional answer, "I should not be a jerk to my fellow man". Really, what a great response. My backyard is still half dirt. Do not use these people for your construction needs. Very unproffesional, no follow skills, no supervision. **Comment from BREYER CONSTRUCTION & LANDSCAPE:** > We are truly sorry that this client feels their expectations have not been met. They hired us several times for various projects over the last 2 years, starting with a substantial kitchen and finished basement upgrade, before moving on to some exterior projects earlier this year. > For this most recent projects we met with them numerous times in order to answer questions, explain the construction process, address concerns, and come up with viable solutions that they agreed to at the time. All issues mentioned were addressed this past August, but unfortunately, no matter what we have done, offered, or explained, we have been unable to keep them happy. > It would be unprofessional for us to comment on specific correspondence with any client. We can, however, say that this particular client has required several hundred emails and phone calls, which is substantially more than what we normally see for projects like this. We stand by our work, will always honor our warranty, and will not “trash” a past client. Considering Terrain decking - what color is the gray? A: Correct- it's Silver Maple, and not the lighter Stone Ash. Both the Brown Oak and the Silver Maple have variegated colors, and a hit of Black streaking in them, so they mesh well- and pair nicely with the railing's balusters in our picture above to keep continuity.
