> Golden Eagle built our retirement house in Montana. The house is roughly 3600 sq feet, although the living space is 2500 sq feet. The house presented several challenges not the least of which was the topography of the lot. In addition, the plans called for an elevator, a greenhouse, a shop, and a tower to take advantage of the view. We also wanted radiant heat and universal design for an "age in place" design. All of this might seem ho hum, but the house was built over the Internet, via email, and photos; we are living in Virginia and, as I pointed out earlier, the house is in Montana. Golden Eagle's attention to detail, straightforward business practices, and excellent suggestions were enormously helpful. I don't think that we would have attempted an "Internet house" without Golden Eagle. Would certainly hire them again, but I think this is our last house.

**Q: Type of wood** *(in Photo Questions)*

What type of wood are these cabinets?  I'm working on providing Dan N. finish levels for a cost estimate and want to know what kind of cabinets these are.

A: Hello Jeff, These cabinets are a rustic Beech cabinet which is only available from a very few vendors but it is very similar to the look of Knotty Alder which is more widely available.  We have samples of these woods in our office that we can show you in person if you would like. Thanks!

**Q: Was this handrail left unfinished? If yes, how is it holding up?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Dean, This rough sawn fir was sealed with Lacquer.  It is hard to tell in this picture as it is not a high gloss finish.

**Q: siding color and brand** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is this siding brown or red?  what is the siding? is the color prefinished?  Thanks!

A: Kelly, although it is difficult to tell in this picture it is red siding. This Is James Hardie brand cement board siding in their prefinished Countrylane red color.

**Q: tile make and color** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love this tile! can you tell me the color? and brand?

A: Kelly, I don't have the exact color and brand of the tile but I can tell you that it came from Finstads Flooring in Helena, MT and I am sure they would be able to help out.
