My cabinets came without any screws for my cabinet guy to put them in. They miss measured my cabinet space. Between the last board in the countertop, there is a 2 inch gap. they promised to come, and they never come. they don’t keep their word. I wanted to buy a door from them and they kept telling me they were going to come and measure for it and said that three times and three weeks later they came. Very poor. I would never hire them again for anything. **Comment from Jim or Teresa Huffman:** > In response to your review, it’s unfortunate that you feel this way, because we went out of our way to help bring your kitchen together so when you moved into your house, your family had a kitchen. Unfortunately, you didn’t mention any of the positive aspects we did for you: > > 1.) We saved you a lot of time and money on the cabinetry you had previously ordered that wasn’t going to work after reviewing your plans. > 2.)We worked you in ahead of other jobs so you could have a kitchen when you moved into this house. > 3.)We made sure your countertop was installed before you moved into this house, and put you ahead of other jobs so you wouldn’t be without a kitchen sink. > 4.)We came to the house after you came into the showroom, acting out of control about how you were so unhappy with the cabinetry. When we arrived, we were told that nothing needed to be done as there was a misunderstanding on your part as to the reveal on the doors. Your husband apologized profusely on your behalf, more than once. > 5.)Your husband called on a Friday afternoon as well as came in to inform me that the countertop wasn’t caulked to the wall. I made sure that got done, on that weekend. > > We’d like to address your comments: > 1.)“My cabinets came without any screws for my cabinet guy to put them in.” > RESPONSE: As a cabinet supplier, and not an installation company we do not supply the installation screws, this aspect is the installer’s responsibility. > 2.)“They miss measured my cabinet space. Between the last board in the countertop” > RESPONSE: The public forgets that all businesses are shorthanded, that includes us. We simply ran out of time, and I should have called so I do apologize for that. > 3.)“I wanted to buy a door from them and they kept telling me they were going to come and measure for it and said that three times and three weeks later they came.” > RESPONSE: We did measure for the door. Your husband was there when we measured, you weren’t. An estimate was sent to your email address. Your husband told us that you both decided to keep the one you already had due to cost. > > Teresa **★ — HU-221636518, Sept. 2022** > Very disappointed with customer service. We ordered 2 custom cabinets. Teresa was clear it was going to take around 8 weeks even though it was a small order. Not a problem. We live an hour out of town but I was happy to give business to a family owned operation. Around the 8 week mark we got the call that the cabinets where done. After picking up the cabinets and getting all the way home we realized the doors where not edged. I called and spoke with Jim who said he did not get the email with the pictures of the edging on the doors. I forwarded Jim the email that was given to Teresa and within that email you could see Teresa's response back to me that she had received it. Why Jim did not have this email from Teresa is on there communication end not mine. Teresa had everything she needed from me to do the cabinets. Jim said it would only take him about 20 minutes to finish the cabinet doors . I said okay it wouldn't be until the following week that I could make the trip back there for him to finish the cabinet doors. Jim never offering an apology nor any kind of reimbursement for my time and cost of having to go back to his shop for him to finish the job in which he was already paid in full for. I told Jim I thought it was appropriate for him to give some money back for my cost of having to drive an hour one way to get the doors fixed and that the error of not being done right in the first place was not on my end but his end. Jim's response was that he was going to be down my way in 2 to 3 weeks he could pick up the doors then and we could figure out later how I was going to get them back. Jim added maybe he would ship them. I let him know I did not want to wait another 2 to 3 weeks we need to get our cabinets up. Jim responded with "You can still get the cabinets up you don't need the doors on". Although true not the point! Still I let him know we did not want to wait that long, we already waited 2 months. Jim said fine bring them up and still no apology nor anything. The following week I made the trip with the cabinet doors. I was greeted by Chasity who also offered no apology. The cabinet doors where dropped off about 30 minutes later I was back to pick them up. When I returned Jim let me know that some "mild" sanding would need to be done on the doors and off he went. Really! WoW! So you don't finish the doors the first time and yet the second time the doors now need to be sanded and that's on us! Being in business for over 30 years you would think there would be better costumer service then this! Everyone makes mistakes but still upsetting and disappointing when we ran into an issue and this is how they dealt with it. We can travel back on our dime and time for your mess up, with no apologies and then for the doors being returned back to us with now needing to be sanded. Maybe because we had a small order they did not value our business I don't know.
