We hired her to paint our > powder room bath in a new construction. I wanted to bring out the colors in a marble sink I had installed > and she had wonderful ideas about the direction we should go. She made us several samples with different > color tones and textures. She is professional, punctual, and created exactly what we had envisioned. She is also the most lovely woman who has a real passion for her craft and was an absolute pleasure to work with. We couldn't be happier with our powder room and we will definitely use her again for any other upcoming projects. We would highly recommend her with great confidence!!!!! **★★★★★ — Denise Smith, Feb. 2022** > We hired Aliya to work on finishes in our master bedroom which included applying a complex finish on the ceiling. It turned out stunning. We were so impressed with her work we used her expertise on various projects. Our master bedroom stone fireplace was drab. To tie into the rest of our beautiful sanctuary, she used a marbleizing technique to complement the existing marble hearth. Rather than replace our headboard and mirror, she thought to enhance elements of the existing design and brought out features we had no idea existed!! Aliya is also thoughtful and cost conscious. Rather than replace, she gave our foyer chandelier and vestibule fixture new life at a fraction of the cost. Aliya is extraordinarily talented with an excellent work ethic and truly a pleasure to be around. We wholeheartedly recommend her work and artistry and no doubt will be hiring her for all our future projects. **★★★★★ — reinecath, Nov. 2021** > Working with Aliya was pure joy. We had a project that was somewhat tricky and had been left in a bad state by another contractor. She worked with us to remediate the problem and to bring our original vision to life. Throughout the process she was thoughtful, detailed, and thoroughly professional. She didn't push us in any direction, but when asked for her opinion about an artistic choice she was willing to provide one that we gladly adopted. She was flexible when some hiccups occurred and was always pleasant and accommodating. As to her skills, let's just say that she is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and understands that the details matter. We have already agreed to work on another project in the near future. **★★★★★ — HU-357826323, Oct. 2020** > Aliya has created wall finishes and recommended colors for my two homes over the years and I have always admired her expertise, sound advice and aesthetic sense. As an event professional ( though in a different sphere), I have appreciated her attention to detail and thoughtful understanding of a client’s needs and budgetary parameters. > More recently in 2020, she has provided the perfect transformative colors for our first floor rooms. Certainly, I will continue to recommend her. > > ZH **★★★★★ — Regina Egea, Oct. 2020** > Aliya restored a Cartouche in our kitchen that was damaged during our renovation (Morristown NJ on her site.) She demonstrates extreme professionalism, excellent skills, innate style and delivered on time and on budget. Recommend her without hesitation **★★★★★ — HU-92514615663, Oct. 2020** > Working with Aliya Riaz made decorating my new condo a treat. Aliya is so talented and gracious, with a superb color sense and creative ideas. The designs and palettes that she produced for my home are beautiful and helped make my home a lovely and warm place to live. Every time I walk into my home, I am surrounded by beauty and comfort, thanks to Aliya's workmanship. Phyllis **★★★★★ — Molly, Nov. 2019** > Portfauxlio Inc. chose paint colors for our apartment that both compliment our furnishings and the outdoor views through our large windows. I continue to enjoy the colors chosen and everyone who visits loves the colors. **★★★★★ — Joanne Kloud, April 2018** > This was the second time we worked with Ayia. She did a fabulous job with our kitchen when we renovated 10 years ago and so, when we decided to to our bathroom this year, we contacted her again! Once again we were extremely elated with the outcome! Alyia is a true professional who provides exceptional service....she is extremely talented and goes above and beyond to assure that her clients are happy with the finished product! I would highly recommend her for any type of wall treatment....she is patient and kind....I cannot wait to call on her for our next project! **★★★★★ — Jane Newton, Dec. 2016** > Aliya, thank you for the beautiful work you did in our bathroom! You are an amazing artist. You went above and beyond in the project. We are so pleased with the results and would recommend you fully to others. **★★★★★ — Debbie N, Dec. 2016** > Absolutely love Portfauxlio's work. Amazing work and Alyia is a wonderful person as well. We have used her for the past 13 years and most recently last month. I give her the highest recommendation and you will not be disappointed! **★★★★★ — User, Dec. 2016** > Aliya was a dream come true for us as a harried couple. She immediately understood our desire for an understated, elegant design for our UPE apartment. Our entrance foyer specifically was transformed into a unique welcoming space which has also become a subject of many dinner conversations. She has an incredible talent to create bespoke art, factoring in the individuality of her clients style. She effectively took away the hassle for us as a working couple with kids. > > NS - UPE, Manhattan **★★★★★ — R K, Nov. 2016** > Aliya painted ceiling of our living room. Her work was beautiful and her professionalism was superb! I would highly recommend her. > RK ## Selected projects - [Gilded Ceiling in a Butler’s Pantry](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/gilded-ceiling-in-a-butlers-pantry-pj-vj~7225723) - Location: Mendham Township, New Jersey - Photos: 8 - Description: The ceiling anf trim in this lovely home were very plain The homeowners wanted some detailing on the ceiling to accentuate their chandeliers - [Decorative Chinoiserie](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/decorative-chinoiserie-pj-vj~7160864) - Location: New Providence, New Jersey - Photos: 3 - Description: The client wanted us to embellish an accent wall in her bedroom. Most of the surfaces were highly polished, the tiles on the floor, the tub enclosure as well as the glass and mirror. Portfauxlio Inc. plastered the wall in a metallic texture and picked out some of the areas in a metallic bronze that complemented the bathroom fixtures. - [Painted Cartouche](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/painted-cartouche-pj-vj~6352546) - Location: Morristown, New Jersey - Photos: 3 - [Faux “Inlay” Floor Border](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/faux-inlay-floor-border-pj-vj~6286390) - Location: Livingston, New Jersey - Photos: 2 - Description: The step down into the living room was not clearly defined which could have led to some falls.
