> Phil Kline is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working. Beyond that, he is an impressive communicator who always explains difficult projects clearly and efficiently. Along with his undeniable talent, Phil has been a joy to work with, fosters positive discussions and brings the best out of his talented crew. Without a doubt, we confidently recommend Phil Kline.

**★★★★★ — Hilary Austen, Oct. 2016**

> Phil is an honest and skillful man. He has done construction and remodeling for me on more than one project, and I would hire him again without hesitation. He is both savvy about construction and creative about design and problem-solving. And, rest assured, he won't bill unless the work is done well.

**★★★★★ — jackmay47, Oct. 2016**

> My wife and I are very picky....we can't fix that, but we can say that we enjoyed working with Phil to the point that we have done three large remodels with him. Even with all of the surprises in doing any remodel, and working around 3 dogs and 2 crazy changing professional schedule.....and even living in the houses while 2 remodels happened we actually enjoyed the process more than we ever expected. Phil had great crews who went beyond the expected and they all managed our pickiness to our delight. We are thinking about building a new house and Phil will be our first call.

> As a residential architect in Marin County, I hire Phil's company any time that I am able for my projects. He is very easy to work with and has the ability to attract highly skilled and knowledgeable staff and crew. I have always been pleased with how my projects have been realized Phil and his crew and we have done many projects together over the years.

**★★★★★ — lesbernstein, Sept. 2015**

> Phil Kline has been our contractor for well over 25 years. He is professional, responsible and operates with the utmost integrity. His teams are alway highly competent and friendly.
> We could not imagine doing any renovations and projects without him.

**★★★★★ — paul sannmeman, Feb. 2015**

> As a business consultant for the construction industry for over thirty years I've worked with hundreds of contractors. Phil has a way of treating clients that creates a unique relationship unlike I've ever seen the construction industry. He has had clients for years and they become great friends. So if you're an architect or homeowner and would like a outstanding job and a quality working relationship with your contractor I highly recommend Phil Klein.

> Phil Kline contracted and managed a large scale gut and remodel of a historic Sausalito residence for me and my family in 2001. This project was a year-long, extensive tear out, re-design and rebuild of a 4,700 square foot residence on a challenging upslope lot. The project outcome was absolutely stunning and resulted in the significant increase in livability and value of this property! I would hire (and I have) Mr. Kine again and again.

  - Description: A very small house that feels large. This house was made with standard off-the-shelf framing lumber which was then sandblasted once the house was framed. Very little additional finishes were used. Each element of the building had more than one purpose, and this made this house (by Bay Area standards) very affordable. Also, that this house was built on a 1900 SF lot and so was constrained on all sides, including the top, our biggest task was to make the house feel large and expansive once inside.…
