**★★★★ — John Jostes, July 2017**

> Not only is Bart a good contractor, he’s a good communicator, which is a real bonus. When I have a need for someone who is a real "outside of the box" problem solver in the construction trade, Bart is the first person I think of. He has helped us through some really challenging situations at a reasonable cost.

> Kim Golden: Bart oversaw our master bathroom remodel and plumbing line replacement. He worked with us to stay within our budget, and finished the project within the timeline that was initially quoted. Bart was ...

> We hired Millar & Associates in 2010 for the complete renovation of a midcentury-modern house in Santa Barbara built in 1963. The project involved gutting most of the house, installing an upgraded modern kitchen and three luxurious new bathrooms, as well as the complete replacement of all infrastructure, including water and sewer lines and the heating system.
> The original heater ducts (embedded in the concrete slab) had to be rerouted to the ceilings -- a difficult task in a flat-roofed house with no attic and no crawl space. Bart Millar devised elegant solutions to all of these challenging problems, completing the job on schedule and within our budget. His careful attention to visual details and fine craftsmanship gave us the clean, modern look we wanted. Working with him to achieve our goals was a pleasure throughout the whole project: we loved the results and can recommend this company without reservation.

> We had a great experiencing working with Bart Millar. We hired him to complete a bathroom and office remodel. He did an excellent job completing the project in a timely matter and was willing to research and accommodate some of our sometimes unusual and specific requests. It has been several years since he completed the work and we remain very happy with the work that was done. We would definitely hire Bart again in the future.

  - Location: Santa Barbara, CA

  - Description: Recently completed, Tom Meaney designed Santa Barbara hillside home in the traditional, yet newly re-imagined, Santa Barbara style . Hand-hewn stone lines the entry steps leading to unusual steel doors. Unique custom copper chimney caps lend elegance to the house's profile. The development of the project was by Vernon Construction. Millar and Associates was responsible for the construction management and supervision.

  - Description: A modern home made even more modern with a complete remodel. For a couple of problems, we found unique solutions. For example, the heating ducts under the slab were crumbling, so we found a way to put them in the ceiling which, as you may know, is really tough when you have a flat roof. We used the old underground duct chases for the new sewer lines, and that saved a lot of money.

  - Description: This bathroom was designed for a family with two teen girls and a grandmother. The generous lighting, dual-level sinks, delineated borders, and convenient above-waist level storage in the corner are planned with the grandmother in mind, as is the walk-in shower, but the elegant look was designed to suit the whole family.
