Not only that, Aaron Goodman is the type of professional contractor you hope for but almost never get. When I first contacted him to discuss what I was thinking (replacing old carpet upstairs, refinish stairs and railings and eventually refinishing existing wood floors), Aaron came out, measured and gave me some recommendations based on our existing wood. He referred me to a great showroom so I could pick out the wood to replace the carpet. I took my time deciding and never felt rushed. Aaron kept me up to date on the timeline of wood delivery, start dates and estimated completion dates. His crew was precise and efficient, finishing ahead of schedule. I learned of him on Angie’s List and expressed interest in a deal being offered on-line. Her promptly called me and soon came to visit my home to see what I wanted done. My wife and were so impressed by his knowledge of 60 year old oak flooring that we hired his firm with looking further. Other vendors had offer us so-called deals but AG Construction’s claim to fame is providing (very quickly) a well written/detailed/professional proposal. Other vendors simply quoted me a price or scribbled some numbers on a piece of paper. On the actual work day he arrived EXACTLY on time and spelled out (to me) the refinishing process his team would do . The team did exactly as promised, cleaned up well and Aaron Goodman did a walk through to confirm HE was satisfied with the work. He found one out-of site hole that needed some work and jumped on that (fixed it) within 90 seconds. Initially contacted as a result of an proposed deal on another site, Aaron (owner and operator) explained that the offer didn't apply to stairs due to the large amount of hand work required. They hung tarps to keep the dust under control, removed old runners, and rapidly sanded the wood, then applied a coat of sealer and two coats of water-based finish.
