A brand new house that was built in April and we bought it in September of 2025. When we toured the home the windows were open and I noticed a slight smell which is off gassing. They told us the smell would go away. Funny thing is we went through other new builds and they didn't smell of anything. We didn't have to move into the house for a couple of months. After the house was closed up for a couple of weeks went back in and the toxic fumes made me sick after only being in the house for a half hour! I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do! I'm beyond pissed off! Imagine spending $450,000 on a new house and I can't even live in it! Constant headaches, nausea, dizziness, feeling out of it, lethargic, eyes burning, itching, sinus infections, depression and anxiety because we are stuck in the toxic environment 24/7! I spent $800 on a medical grade air purifier and even that did nothing!I also bought regular air purifiers and they did nothing! I actually can still smell the fumes in my nose after I leave the house! We only feel better after we have been away from the house for at least a few hours and I dread coming home! On top of that they used real cheap paint throughout the entire house and if you get any marks on them you can't rub them off! We found that out after moving in and the movers got some scuff mark on the walls. My husband works at home so he's in the toxic environment 24/7. I actually look forward to going to work so I can get out of the toxic environment! Allen Edwin only cares about making money. Allen Edwin Homes thinks that putting a house together in 3 months during the Winter is a good idea. My house has a beam that is visible through the ceiling and looks horrible. Allen Edwin Homes has the audacity to say that’s normal, that’s how all of their houses look like and there is nothing they can/will do about it. I have called Allen Edwin Homes customer service a few times asking to speak to a supervisor however, they turned me down without an explanation. Now apparently it IS buildable- and they are forcing my next door neighbor to share a driveway with a spec home that nobody is or should pay over $180,000 for because they also will be forced to share a driveway. No mention in the ads for the home of a shared driveway. While it may be within their right to build on the lot - it's bad business. Would not buy from Allen Edwin - do not recommend. Things are done to code - nothing above.
