It looks like you might need to do the dining room area in front of the kitchen and then the living room area off to the other side so that the TV can be in the room and easily visible. New construction, open floorplan. One-sided fireplace built in. The room is a bit off center. Struggling with choosing furniture store that is quality and not overpriced furniture. I like coastal chic yet classic style and what I see in stores either looks worn down (slipcover), sits too low to the ground or too formal. Sectional doesn't allow for movement when hostessing. A: There are many different layouts you could look at doing. Are you planning on having a TV in the space? Below are a few ideas. Please note the sofas, swivel chairs, ottomans, rugs, coffee tables, side tables, etc. **Q: Help! Rug Dilemma** *(in Home Decorating)* I’m looking for a replacement rug for the navy floral one you see in the top picture and would love your suggestions! The choices are overwhelming. I love the one in the picture, but unfortunately our animals did not & totally destroyed it. We have a natural woven shade on the windows & this room opens to our entryway (pictured) with black & white floral wallpaper. The cats use looped rugs as a scratching post, so I want to stay away from that style. I love the whimsy of the bottom rug I pictured - would appreciate feedback if you think it works in the space (review pictures of the rug make it appear darker, which I much prefer).
